I got these shoes to help retrain my gait from heel-striking to midfoot-striking. They're very different from my normal shoes, which are very cushioned and corrective for overpronation. I was a little nervous about trying them, I thought I might get shin-splints or hurt my feet, but they're great! Nice amount of cushioning, very lightweight, very easy to lace up and they stay put. I tried them for a couple miles on the treadmill and everything felt fine. My feet did feel like they got a work out, but it's probably because this shoe is much more minimalistic from what I normally wear. Also, I wouldn't wear them much longer than a few miles on the treadmill, because the heat from the belt warms up the soles. It was fine for a couple miles, but I definitely noticed it and I'm not sure I'd be comfortable if I did any long runs on there. But overall, great shoes!

I bought these for walking and casual wear. My running shoes are Brooks Ghost 4, which I love. But, the Green Silence is so comfortable that I literally put them on the first day and did not take them off until hours later. My feet have a full range of motion; with a true barefoot feel. Also, my socks were completely dry after hours of walking around in these, so they must be very breathable. Overall, Green Silence was a smart purchase for me.

Improving to run a fast one mile. Bigger gal with near flat feet and lower arches was told that I run like neutral runner. That solved alot of problems. Men's shoe gives me width in the mid foot area. Otherwise, would have purchased female version, size D. Not good for weak ankles or Weak arches. I have noticed a BIG improvement in my running speed. Have to adjustment my mid-foot to the lesser support. I am not a heel striker. If not for lacing oddity, would purchase a second pair.

Super comfortable, great-looking shoe. I can't run long in it (I need more support), but it's great for every day wearing or short runs (3 miles or less). Plus I love the eco-friendliness of it!

Absolute genius -- perfect for my needs: light; flexible, able to withstand forefoot/midfoot striking, wide enough to allow slight splaying of toes on landing, for 'natural' feeling.
Environmental considerations are vital to me, and I can't believe an 'eco' shoe can be this ultra high-quality. I am using these as an everyday training shoe (7-10kms a day) and although they might wear down quickly (don't know yet) I don't care, because they are so great. The most perfect shoe in the world -- Thank you, Brooks!!

This is my fav shoe to wear with jeans....looks super sweet! The best thing is since we focus on fit/ function, it's also super comfy! Not enough support for me to run in, but doesn't mean I don't love this shoe!!
