Sustainability reaches daunting new heights in the new Cascadia 6. Virtually every component has an environmentally friendly back story to wow any eco-crusader. Handle unpredictable terrain with ease and savor the sights and sanctuary of nature, knowing you have a hand (and foot) in its preservation. No greenwashing here – meaningful environmental progress goes hand in hand with off-road performance in the best trail shoe out there.
We added our adaptable Brooks DNA cushioning to the heel and forefoot of the Cascadia, creating customized comfort and a shoe that adapts to different surfaces. In addition, we made sure the midfoot saddle is our most conformable and adjustable, offering an unsurpassed glove-like fit to almost any foot, and further perfecting the locked-in feel for ultra-stability. Then we added a medial forefoot pivot post with four points of contact – providing 4x4-like suspension in a much more sustainable way. Oh, and we added all that while making the shoe nearly an ounce lighter. Sweet!
The Cascadia 7 is now available, with four-point pivot posts that act like a suspension system for your feet.

With each new model of this shoe they somehow find new ways to make it better each time. Version 6 does not fail to impress me with the noticeably lighter weight of the shoe and the addition of DNA for enhanced cushioning. Also there is two new additions that keep the tongue of the shoe in place so that is does not fall down into the shoe like I experienced in previous models. Well done Brooks and keep up the good work.

I have been recommending Brooks Cascadia to everybody, as a mater of fact, all my running mates, ware them because of me.
But with the new sole of the Cascadia 6, none of us is happy. I have been four days running in the mountains and I took my Cascadia 5 (I allways by two pairs) instead of my new Cascadia 6.
I am sorry to say, that I am disappointed with the grip from the Cascadia 6.
Please see the soles of the two Cascadias with the same km, aproximatly.
Thanks

Comments about Cascadia 6:
I recently switched from addictions to Cascadia 5s. I loved the lightness and felt totally secure in these shoes for trail running after only a few workouts. The Cascadia 6s I bought to replace my 5s were up to snuff, totally comfortable, nice and light, and fit well with the same half-foot arch supports I had in my old pair.
The new shoes are not very springy in my first few workouts with them. I'm not sure yet if they need some breaking in, lack cushioning, or if I've just been tired.
I have had trouble getting the laces snug across the top of my foot. The elastic band between the eyelets and the upper seems like a gimmick. I instantly tighten my laces beyond the elastic limit of the band, and am left with an odd fit instead of tension control from the band. I don't know if you removed this feature on the Cascadia 7s, but you should!
Thanks for great shoes.

Comments about Cascadia 6:
I was a big fan of the Cascadia 4 and 5. In fact, I still wear them casually and to work in the yard. However, I was very disappointed with the Cascadia 6.
I first noticed the lack of forefoot cushioning within my first or second run in the shoes. I assumed that my feet hurt because I was running on a firmer surface. However, after approximately 6 weeks of running dirt roads and trails, I developed capsulitis and extensor tendon pain in both feet, especially in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th metatarsals. I'm not sure if the injury was caused by the DNA cushioning breaking down too quickly or the upward curvature of the shoe, but it took several trips to the podiatrist and months of little running to recover. Needless to say, I was very disappointed and am still searching for a trail shoe that was as good as the Cascadia 5.

Comments about Cascadia 6:
With only four marathons to go this year to capture the 50 states, I'm unwilling to take any chances on injuries. The Cascadia is and has been my preferred just-get-out-and-run shoe for all terrain. They will be my trail shoes for Delaware/Stumpy's Marathon.

Comments about Cascadia 6:
I wear these shoes for everything. They feel great on my feet and provide good traction. Keep up the good work, Brooks. I wish they had some solid colors such as brown, gray, tan or black to go better with casual clothes.

Comments about Cascadia 6:
I wasn't that impressed after my first 10 miler on the trails. The shoes have a good relatively light feel, but they felt alittle unstable. I put in my power step insoles for my second run ( a 24 miler on trails in the rain) and they did great. As with any new shoe it takes some time to get them fitted correctly. With 24 miles or muddy wet feet I had no blisters or hot spots. My smartwool socks may have helped, but that run sold me on the cascadia 6

Comments about Cascadia 6:
Have been wearing Adrenalines for trainers for years. Cascadias were VERY comfortable from the 1st time I put them on, & they stay that way on very flat and very fast trail runs or really hilly trails up to 11 miles. I'm 185# and have high arches so comfortable shoes are hard to find. I wear full-length arch supports that fit great in this shoe. Traction is great in these shoes, although i do wish they weighed a little less.

Comments about Cascadia 6:
Awesome shoe other than having NO ARCH support. They have great cushion, traction, and stability, not to mention they just look cool. I go complements on them all the time. BUT, There is a huge void of space where brooks usually has something for your arch. I cant ware them at all, they kill my feet and my shins.
