What is the recommended way of cleaning the Ravenna 11’s?

Hi Teri! Here is some shoe care information for your Ravenna 11. We recommend following these directions to keep your shoes looking and performing their best. 1. Remove the internal liner and hand wash the shoes in warm water with mild soap. Make sure not to submerge or soak the shoes in water. We do not recommend using a washer or dryer machine for cleaning our shoes, as they can be too aggressive and cause the shoes to stretch or warp compromising the materials and performance of the shoe. 2. Stuff your shoes with newsprint (plain if you have it) and allow them to air dry. When they are all dried out, you can reinsert the liner and hit the road again.

I wear orthotics in my running shoes and a size 10 women’s. Should I size up to a 10.5 or get the wide width in the Ravenna 11?

You will always want approx. 1/2 in. of space (a thumbs width) between the end of your big toe and the end of the shoe. This often means sizing up your running shoes 1/2 of a size from what your normal size. Orthotics can take up additional space within the shoe depending on what it is designed for.

I'm tied between this one and the Launch 7. My feet are fairly flat and I want the best arch support- which would you recommend? Also, what size should I go for? I have Brooks Ariel 18 and the size 8.5 seemed to work for me. Normally I'm an 8 but my Transcend 6 started hurting my toes at some point. Arch support and support in general are my two priorities.

The difference is the Ravenna 11 is for people that pronate as they walk or run, while the Launch 7 is for people that have a neutral to supinated stride. If you had great success with the Ariel 18 and Transcend 6, we recommend the Ravenna 11 or other Support styles.

Yes! For running shoes you ideally want to size up a half size or you'll lose a lot of toenails.

Are these a good replacement for the discontinued pure cadence 7‘S?

How structured are the backs of these shoes? I walk on the outside of my heel and roll my foot inward when walking/running.

When comparing the ravenna 10, which I loved, to the ravenna 11, I noticed the experience type changed from energize to speed. Just wondering what this means exactly? Will this affect the cushioning of the shoe?

Good question! All of our styles are built on runner insights and our research suggests that runners who choose the Ravenna were most often aiming to set new PR's therefore categorizing it as a speed shoe made the most sense. The energize category is typically a shoe with more spring like responsiveness even if that means more weight as a result which didn't quite fit the Ravenna being that it is so lightweight.

Does the Ravenna 11 have the same mesh construction on the outside as the Ravenna 10? I bought a pair of the Ravenna 10's and noticed the new mesh and thought it was cool at first, but then the mesh ripped in less than a week into wearing them and I don't want to buy the Ravenna 11's if they're made the same way.

Hi! I have been running for a few years now and Brooks has been my favorite shoe. I have owned the Ravenna's 9 & 10 before this shoe. I did not notice the mesh was different until I tried them on. I thought it was cool that the shoe company decide to change the inside of the shoe, but unfortunately the inside of the shoe ripped in numerous places within two weeks. I never had a pair of shoes ripped that easily nor that quickly. I purchased my Ravenna 9's and 10's at a shoe store instead of online. The 9's and 10's lasted a super long time plus they and never ripped. I would not recommend this specific Ravenna 11 shoe. :(

What shoe do you make that is claw to the same as women’s glycerin 14? I need firm heel support. The current glycerin model does not give me this, I think there is to much gel . I need more support not gel Cush?
