I’ve never owned brooks shoes and was recommended them for hiking the Camino in Spain in June, should I go 1/2 size up so I can wear hiking socks with targeted cushion? Will be walking just under 100 miles Thanks

We re-issued this iconic shoe with the intent of being used for off-road or urban adventures but if you plan to walk or hike more mileage, you might consider some of our more recent trail styles. The more recent models have updated technology and materials that are more suited for the rugged trail terrain like the Cascadia 19 with adaptable stability and trail-ready protection on even the most technical terrain. Additionally, the Ghost Trail is built to take you off road, helping you to uncover new paths right in your backyard. The Ghost Trail features the trusted fit and feel of the Ghost, elevated with offroad grip and durability. We typically recommend trying trail styles in the same size you wear in our road style shoes but if you plan to wear thicker socks, sizing up a half size might be a good idea. We offer a 90 day run happy promise in case you need to try multiple sizes.

Are they true to size ?

Hi Jonathan. The Cascadia 1 shoes should fit to true to the same size as other Brooks Running shoes. In all of our shoes, you want to make sure you have about a thumbnail width distance between the end of your toes and the end of the shoe.
