How do you clean these shoes?

Hi Mark! We recommend removing the internal liner and hand wash the shoes in warm water with mild soap. Make sure not to submerge or soak the shoes in water. We do not recommend using a washer or dryer machine for cleaning our shoes, as they can be too aggressive and cause the shoes to stretch or warp compromising the materials and performance of the shoe. Once you are done washing, stuff your shoes with newsprint and allow them to air dry.

What other Brooks shoe(s) are the best for plantar fasciitis?

I wore a size 10 in the pure cadence p2 the same size in the P7 was too tight. Should I get the 10.5 in these?

What is the best way to clean these shoes?

Washing them does generally work, but is not recommended by the manufacturer. Most runners will say to stuff them with newspaper and scrub the outside with soap and water. If you do decide to machine wash, remember heat is the enemy of foam and glue and keep the water cool. The newspaper trick is great for letting them air-dry, don't put them in the dryer!

Do people run 10 + miles in these? I used my launch 5s for about 2-3 miles and loved them. Switched to ghost and hate them but am worried they wont hold up for longer distances.

Absolutely! The Launch 7 is designed as a Speed style - a lightweight and responsive option for short and long distance runs, from 5k runs to marathons.

Good question! The Launch 7 is rigorously tested for all weather conditions on the road and has proven to hold up. Would you recommend these For flat feet - no arch - plantar fasciitis?? Also I wear custom orthotics.

Thanks for reaching out! You will always want approx. 1/2 in. of space (a thumbs width) between the end of your big toe and the end of the shoe. This often means sizing up your running shoes 1/2 of a size from what your normal size. Orthotics can take up additional space within the shoe depending on what it is designed for. Plantar fasciitis can be tricky to solve with a single shoe as it can be quite different from person to person. Typically, we find shoes with a higher drop from heel to toe, good cushion to take the impact away, and sometimes minimal flex to help in case the other benefits aren't enough for your feet. A great option to start with to help with plantar fasciitis relief is our Adrenaline GTS model. The Adrenaline GTS offers a 12mm drop from heel to toe which helps to put your weight more in the forefoot and away from the plantar in your heel. The first thing to find out is if you pronate or not. how many miles can you put on the shoes? also I just started getting shin splints would these be a good shoe for that?

I think I read 400- 500 miles. They offer a 90 day return even used. New balance was the only shoe to give me shin splints because I don’t really have an arch. I haven’t had any problems with these at all. I do about 15-20 miles a week.

I've been wearing the Launch model forever and LOVE them! The recent model, Launch 7, are causing me heel pain and are very very stiff. What would be an equivalent to try since these are not like previous models? I run long distances on the roads (marathon).

I have worn the Launches for about 6 years and need a new pair after taking a long break. My most recent is the Launch 4. Should I get the Launch 7 or try the Levitate 3? Both were recommended in the shoe finder.

Ultimately, it comes down to preference. The Launch 7 is most comparable to your current Launch. The Levitate 3 is built with DNA AMP cushioning which is spring-like and very responsive though is heavier than the Launch.

Is the new launch 7 about the same as the launch 6?

The updates are minimal and mostly cosmetic improvements. The Launch 7 does have a brand-new lightweight, single-layer mesh upper.
