Hi Farshid! The footbed and insoles of all of our shoes, including the Hyperion Elite 2, have the same arch height and arch support. Our shoe styles are split into two sections, Neutral and Support. The support in running shoes is different than the support of insoles or orthotics. Our Support styles include our GuideRails technology, which supports your whole body in its natural stride while keeping excess movement in check. Insoles or orthotics give you support directly under the arch. Most of our sockliners are removable so that you can input your own insole or orthotic to achieve personalized arch support. The Hyperion Elite 2 does not feature a removable sockliner, but you may still be able to utilize a thin, low-volume insert or orthotic.

Has anyone run a Full Marathon in this shoe? Is this shoe good for 26.2 miles?

Hi Eric! Our elite athletes wear the Hyperion Elite in their races, including the full marathon. The Hyperion Elite 2 is designed to perform at top quality for approximately 100 miles of accumulated racing.

I run with custom orthotics and they fit great in the Hyperion Tempo as a fast training/racing shoe. I know they won't fit in these. If I wear a 12.5 standard Ghost or Hyperion Tempo, should I size up or down in these?

Hi Matthew! If you are looking for more room in the Hyperion Elite 2, we recommend sizing up to a size 13.

Are these good for track long distance?

Hi Ani! The Hyperion Elite 2 may be a good option for you. If you are looking for a lighter option that includes spikes for added traction, we recommend the Mach 19, Wire 7, or the Draft XC.

I need a wide toe box due to blisters forming on little toe. My usual running shoe size is 42 European. Will it be wide enough or should I go to a 42.5? Will that solve the problem?

Hi Laurie! The Hyperion Elite 2 is only available in a D width, which is a Women's Wide width and a Men's Medium width. If you typically wear a size European 42, we recommend a size European 42 in the Hyperion Elite 2.

Can you wash the Hyperion Elite 2in the washing machine?

Hi Brian! We do not recommend putting the Hyperion Elite 2 in the washing machine. We recommend following these directions to keep your shoes looking and performing their best. 1. Remove the internal liner and hand wash the shoes in warm water with mild soap. Make sure not to submerge or soak the shoes in water. 2. Stuff your shoes with newsprint (plain if you have it) and allow them to air dry. When they are all dried out, you can reinsert the liner and hit the road again

I wear size 6 1/2 women’s what size would I order?

When will you have size 9 back in stock?

Why no 12 1/2? Can I use a 13?

I am a mild over pronator and usually run in the Ravenna for speed days but have also used the older model Launch (prior to the GTS) with an orthotic. What are your thoughts on using an orthodic with the Hyperion Elite 2? Are there any plans to develop a “GTS” version of this shoe for the runner who tends to over pronate?

Hi Pamela! Using an orthotic in the Hyperion Elite 2 to achieve support is a great idea. If you enjoyed the Ravenna style, we recommend the Launch GTS 8 as this has the same support and cushion as the previous Ravenna iteration.

I need a fast marathon shoe, but im a pronator. Would these still be okay?

I use transcend 5 for the cusion and the support because I have pronator foot, I need to buy new ones, which tennis do you recommend?

Hi Henry! Going with a size 12 or 13 is up to you. A size 13 may be better as our feet tend to swell as we run. We have our Run Happy Promise - a promise that you'll love your gear, and if you don't we will take it back for 90 days after purchase.

Is the Hyperion Elite 2 allowed in NCAA track races?

The Hyperion Elite 2 should be allowed for NCAA track races, we recommend checking with your coach/athletic director, fingers crossed!

If you generally run in the Adrenaline GTS series would these still support you?

If you need the support from the Adrenaline GTS series, we recommend our Ravenna style. The Ravenna 11 lives in our Speed category similar to the Hyperion Elite 2.

What is the difference between this shoe and the Hyperion tempo?

The biggest difference is the carbon fiber plate in the Hyperion Elite, where the Hyperion Tempo does not. The Hyperion Tempo is ideal for fast training runs and race day, where as the Hyperion Elite is designed specifically for race day.

Are these good for cross country races?

While you could wear the Hyperion Elite for cross country the tread design is quite minimal compared to other cross country styles, we recommend the Hyperion Elite for competitive road running such as marathons, halfs, 10k, 5k, and so on.

Are these shoes good for Cross Country?

Absolutely not. The shoes have a minimal amount of rubber tread, and the foam is exposed on the underfoot of the shoe. Otherwise, it's a GREAT shoe for road races and training.

I’m a woman who usually wears men’s shoes/men’s sizes. I see that this is advertised as a “unisex” shoe, so how do I choose my size? Are the sizes listed in men’s or women’s?

The general life expectancy of the Hyperion Elite 2 is 200-400 miles, or 3-5 months and we rigorously test them to ensure they live up to those standards.

Is this shoe good for plantar fasciitis?

Thanks for reaching out! Plantar fasciitis can be tricky to solve with a single shoe as it can be quite different from person to person. Typically, we find shoes with a higher drop from heel to toe, good cushion to take the impact away, and sometimes minimal flex to help in case the other benefits aren't enough for your feet.
