In modern fashion-focused sneaker culture, where the wearer is discerning and is motivated by vast, ever-changing inspirations, Brooks Running — through our burgeoning Brooks Lifestyle proposition — brings freshness and diversity to the conversation.
We’ve watched how the industry has evolved and listened to consumer demands. Whether your aesthetic is fitness-focused or you live for luxury, if streetwear is your style or if you’re more of a gorpcore enthusiast, Brooks Lifestyle has you covered. We’re leveraging both our industry-leading performance silhouettes, as well as our deep catalog of heritage styles, in an authentic way that only Brooks can.
With Brooks Lifestyle, we aim to give generational icons new life and bring our modern performance styles to the market with a different perspective for the style-savvy.
To some, specifically the fashion-focused, the idea of lifestyle sneakers is obvious. But to others, whose purpose for wearing shoes is function, the concept of lifestyle sneakers could be foreign. So what are lifestyle sneakers?
In short, lifestyle sneakers are for everyday wear and are designed with both style and comfort in mind. Performance isn’t absent, but it also isn’t paramount. Your day is made when you wear something so jaw-dropping that others can’t help but look.
As for Brooks, when it comes to our lifestyle range, loyalists and newcomers alike should expect to see what we’re best at: aesthetics and styles rooted in both run and performance.
Though Brooks Lifestyle is still young, several iconic sneakers spanning multiple decades have been unearthed and reintroduced to the marketplace.
For starters, after a lengthy hiatus, the Adrenaline GTS 4 — our best-selling shoe in 2002 — resurfaced in March 2025. For its Brooks Lifestyle return, the Y2K running shoe’s mesh, suede overlays, and pebbled synthetic uppers were paired with updated HydroFlow cushioning technology underfoot, featuring an updated foam that was created with everyday comfort in mind.
And in May 2025, two more classics reemerged: Brooks Chariot and Cascadia 1.
For the outdoor enthusiast, the Brooks Cascadia 1 trail running shoe from 2004 — famously worn by and designed alongside ultramarathon legend Scott Jurek — has been reimagined for today’s adventurer, whether their path is paved like a city street or replete with dirt, rocks and roots. In terms of tech, several innovations from the Cascadia 1 remain, but have been restored with the modern wearer in mind, including its original Pivot Post technology, diagonal roll bar, HydroFlow cushioning and crafted overlays.
As for the Brooks Chariot, our lifestyle division has brought back the stability-focused running shoe’s timeless aesthetic that was revealed to the world in 1982. The suede leather uppers, paired with heritage hues and warm neutrals, make the Brooks Chariot the ideal choice for those looking for both quality and nostalgia, and the EVA cut foam midsoles underfoot ensure comfort for the wearer. And yes, the pronation-preventing Diagonal Rollbar from four decades ago remains intact.
In February 2026, an award-winning running shoe from 2009 was re-released – the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 10. For those nostalgic for the late-2000s look, the uppers are what you remember from the original. However, the underfoot experience from the OG is quite different. For the wearer seeking comfort, we updated the modern version of the Adrenaline GTS 10 with DNA Tuned, our top-of-the-line performance midsole cushioning.
And in March 2026, a standout from 1976 returned: the Brooks Vanguard. What was the pinnacle distance running shoe of the time is now a stylish look for those interested in a slimmed-down, style-forward silhouette. What’s more, rather than keep the EVA cushioning of the time, we added DNA LOFT midsoles that are cut, buffed and painted to both offer more comfort and keep the original aesthetic.
Brooks Lifestyle is also powered by collaboration.
For instance, collaboration legend Jeff Staple offered sneakerheads a glimpse at how the Adrenaline GTS 4, Cascadia 1, and the Ghost Trail could fit into their rotation, RSVP Gallery debuted its take on our Caldera 8 modern trail running shoe, German retailer AFEW celebrated the fleeting joy in our daily lives via the Adrenaline GTS 10 and South Africa-based runner and designer Alex Zono employed his carefree and whimsical energy to the Ghost Trail.
What’s more, our initial key retail partners — including Hatchet Outdoor Supply Co. in Brooklyn, New York— have been critical, and will continue to be integral, in bringing attention to our lifestyle category. And since, we have expanded our retailer presence to include Sneaker Politics, Extra Butter, Feature, Lapstone & Hammer, and more.
Looking ahead, not only will the cast of characters Brooks Lifestyle engages with grow, but the door on the vault will open wider, we will debut new silhouettes and select top-tier performance models will receive style-driven makeovers.
