I ordered these in a Small and XS because I haven't worn Brooks shorts before. My waist falls in the Small size range on the size chart; my Hips fall in the XS range. The XS fit ok but they were snug in the waist if I wanted to roll the waist band over. I decided to keep the Small for more comfort in the waist, however I don't find that they are too roomy in the hips. I've only worn them for several runs now including a 12 miler. I find my legs have good range of motion while running and the shorts are very comfortable. I only wish they had a better pocket for gu or house key. The internal key pocket seems a little flimsy at the left waist, and I haven't trusted my house key in it yet, but it looks like the pocket is positioned so that if something does fall out, it would fall into the inner brief, not out the leg of your short. If I could combine this short style and fabric with the 2 internal back pockets from another brand's Pacer short I would have my dream running short :) Still, I like this style a lot and plan to order a second from the new spring colors.

I own and love many pairs of the Epiphany shorts in both size M and S (lost weight and shifted down in size). These new Epiphany II sit lower (or the mesh inner panel won't cover your bottom), but the waist band is as tight or tigher in measurement (if the short has moved lower to hip, shouldn't it be built a bit bigger in waist than predecessor?). Also waist band is too wide (so more pressure on hips). Can't wear these and will return. What a shame - these are favorite shorts because Epiphany's cut is SO flattering and the split side excellent for running (esp. racing). Please reconsider going back to old design.

Comments about Epiphany Stretch Short II:
I have been searching for the perfect pair of running shorts and I just found them. The epiphany short blows the Nike tempo short out of the water. The epiphany short is so much more comfortable to run in- whether its a couple of miles or a couple of hours. They don't feel as restrictive as other running shorts on the market. I love all of the color options too! Great product!

Comments about Epiphany Stretch Short II:
I have several pairs of these shorts, and started with the Epiphany 1 which I've worn to death during runs and step class. This year I was excited about the new colors in the new version, but noticed right away that they are cut much smaller in the waist and body. They also have seams, which don't seem to serve any purpose. Still love the length and weight of the new ones, but much prefer the earlier cut which gave more ample room for running. I can't run in the new ones without going up a size. I am on the fence about whether or not I can truly recommend these!

Comments about Epiphany Stretch Short II:
The epiphany shorts used to be my favorite. The slightly longer cut in the back is extremely flattering but the style this year runs smaller and there's a weird seam running down the middle of each leg on the front. Not the kind of fussy detailing you want on your running gear.

This is a super stylish and comfortable short. It may be the best short I've ever ran in. It also comes in lots of fun colors now too!

Comments about Epiphany Stretch Short II:
I really enjoy these shorts. I bought two pairs and I will be buying more. The waist band is secure and does not move during the run. The draw string comes in unique colors that add a nice detail.
I would agree with some of the other runners that these are a bit shorter of run shorts, but nothing is hanging out. I thought I might have problems with chaffing based on the fit when I initially tried them on, but a few twenty mile runs later, I haven't had any problems and I am incredible satisfied.
I've had problems with other run shorts either having the diaper look when running or riding up. I haven't had either problem with these shorts, even with our 85% humidity recently.
One suggestion- when washing these shorts, line dry them. They seem to maintain shape better when I avoid the dryer.

Comments about Epiphany Stretch Short II:
My daughter and I purchased the Ephiphany II because we were so happy with the original Ephiphany. Big disappointment-too small for both of us and neither is any larger than when ordering the original Ephiphany. She normally wears Extra Small but needed the Small I ordered for myself. I am returning [...] the Extra Small we ordered for her. ORDER A SIZE LARGER THAN YOU NORMALLY WEAR!

Comments about Epiphany Stretch Short II:
I bought these shorts on a day when I forgot to pack my own and I'm so happy I did! These are the most comfortable shorts I own. I love the little bit of stretch that they have which allows you to do the same. Other running shorts I have cut into me when I stretch before or after but these don't at all! They are super comfortable and look really good without being too baggy. They do run small - I'm 6'0", 153 lbs and usually wear a size medium but bought a large in these which is perfect. Can't wait to get more in all the colors!
