I have searched high and low and spent a lot of money trying to find a short that I can run in for the summer. I live in Texas and it is HOT. I have ALWAYS experience either chaffing or the short riding up during my run. I just bought this pair the other day and went for a lunch time run.....it was PERFECT. The lining underneath the spandex allows it to stay in place. The short part did ride up a few times but as long as the liner isn't I am good.

Thank you thank you thank you! I would pay full price over and over for this great product!

Originally purchased this short for casual wear and coaching because of the longer inseam. Now I run in it as well and love it! I really like the longer coverage and the boy short/spandex short underneath with the leg grippers. These shorts stay in place and look great.

Things I love about these shorts:
1. the strip on the inside of the inner short that keeps them from riding up
2. all the pocket space - there are two on the sides and one in the inner short that's perfect for $, ID, or an extra gel
3. They are still light and cool, even with the longer length (which I also really like) and the double layering
4. For me, they really do prevent chafing, which is one of the main reasons I bought them.
My disclaimers: The longest run I've done in these so far is 5 miles, and I've only run in pretty mild weather, but I do anticipate them being great in both long distances and the heat and look forward to doing more runs in them. I'm very impressed with these and other Brooks products!

Great combination short. The compression shorts prevent chaffing. They are stylish, cool, and comfortable. I can't wait to get more of these.

I've been looking everywhere for a comfortable running short with enough coverage for my 48 year old body. These are perfect, long enough to provide sufficient coverage, but they don't look like "knickers." Comfortable and they wash well. Just ordered another pair.

I wear these shorts when working out in the gym. I like both the length and the built-in shorts when laying on the gym floor doing mat exercises. I ordered a medium because reviews said they run small. They were too big, I wear the same size in these shorts as other popular brands.

I have a week's worth of these for all my running days. I just wish they were a tad bit LONGER. Otherwise, the fit and comfort are perfect!

I love these shorts. They are a pretty fitted short and I wish they were a little roomier, but I like the inner short and they are good for a cooler morning and a longer run when other shorts may ride up a bit. I wouldn't put them in the drier next time.

The only improvement I would make would to have the inner shorts be true compression shorts.

I am athletically built marathon runner. I am not stick thin. These pockets gap open on the sides with the pocket liners visible like panty lines on me. Nice length, love the boyshorts idea, but will never be able to wear these shorts. Disappointed in the fit.
