Chrissie calls the T7 "an amazing shoe!" She was rocking a pair when she came from behind on the run leg to win her fourth Ironman World Championship in Kona in 2011. Hansons-Brooks athlete Desiree Davila also races in the T7 and wore it during this year's Boston marathon as she became the third fastest U.S. female marathoner ever.

This incredibly light road-racing shoe is the fastest in the pack, with a new eye-catching upper for fly-by style. The streamlined, asymmetric upper works with the anatomy of the foot to perfectly wrap the arch securely from start to finish.

Available in men's sizes only. For women we suggest ordering 1.5 sizes smaller than what you usually wear. If you're curious, Chrissie wears a 10, and Desi wears a 5.5.

Note: As this shoe is a very lightweight, minimal support racing flat, the vast majority of runners will not find it "enough shoe" for a full marathon. If you have a light frame and a biomechanically efficient stride, however, you may be able to get away with it. We suggest you work up to it in several half marathon-plus races beforehand to see how it works for you before running in it for a full marathon.

Bought this shoe a few months back for my 2011 racing season. In word one, AMAZING! This is by far the lightest, most comfortable racing flat I have ever owned! If you are racing distances from half marathon on down, buy this shoe (Just make sure to get a half size smaller than your everyday training shoes).

i got my t7's at my local running store and right off the bat I enjoyed every bit of them besides the side lacing which I quickly grew a custom to.they were my trainers for the track season and they were working fine. like all of my running shoes they got dirty, and sometimes very smelly which as a 15 year old boy i had no problem with. but then at one of my track meets my club coach whom im very close to told me about some cases of runners buying the T7's and only lasting them a month, which at first i didnt believe. then track season ended and i started running my longer distances training for the upcoming xc season and i soon figured out that what my coach said was true. and I felt pushed away from the T7 and to another shoe. i might of gotten a bad batch or something but id like to figure out what went wrong.

    Comments about T7 Racer:

Can't seem to run in any other shoe after wearing these! Just ran a 5K in the rain in these and they handled the road just like a regular running shoe and got a PR! Alternate between these and Green Silence and still prefer these even on a 13 milers and above. They feel so natural on your feet and have totally corrected my stride. Getting another pair to rotate in the mix. Love them!!!

I use these in track (races mostly) and they are wonderful. They are a little hard to break in but once you break them in , they are great. I wouldn't wear them to practice very often, as the sole will wear down quickly. Otherwise, amazing shoe! Thanks again Brooks!

            Comments about T7 Racer:

This is an update from the oldest T7 review on this website by Legacy Cal the Race Walker. Did Los Angeles Marathon #27, this time in dry weather and shoes performed well. I could focus on race walking technique and not worry about fit or feel of shoe.

T7s were like an extension of my feet and carried me to a top 10 race walk finish and winner of my age group. BTW, I finished last in my age group, but as the only entrant, also won! LOL

Seriously, I improved my time over last year and plan to use the T7s in my next marathon in October (Long Beach) when I'll have been able to follow a real training program I learned from a recent race walk clinic.

As a leading edge Baby Boomer (yeah, I'm 65), race walking allows me to workout intensely without knee consequences. Shoes are very important for race walking technique, and these allow me to train and race without foot issues while being "legal." I also train in other Brooks models (ST5 and GTS) and other brands. T7s are holding up well.

The shoes also machine wash fine on delicate cycle. Take out insoles and remove laces (hand wash laces). I presoaked in a "green" detergent and non-chlorine bleach, then into the machine. Dry by stuffing with newspaper and letting them sit at room temperature or slightly warm area with good air circulation. Change paper as needed. Mine dried in a day and uppers now look almost brand new, even after lots of miles. Sole and midsole are also holding up well.

Just bought these last week and put them on for the first time today. I run several times a week to train for 1/2 marathons. My last running shoe were the Ghost which were comfortable and light, but nothing compared to these. I normally have problems with shin splints and it takes me a mile or two for my legs to warm up and I have to stop and stretch several times before my shins are ok. From the first step to the last step no pain in these shoes. Very light. I have a narrow foot so they fit me great. If you have a wider foot they may not work for you. At first I thought they may be a half size too small but after running in them they felt perfect. I wear a women's 7, and ordered the unisex 5.5 Great shoe!

Good shoe. A bit of a narrow forefoot, which isn't the best for trails. Although the tread is pretty good on all terrain. It's a nice light shoe, but somehow an odd hybrid between trainer and racer.
