Neutral to Guidance runners can experience a run for the senses without losing the comfort of dynamic cushioning. The PureFlow brings a little more shoe and a whole lot of technology to a slick aesthetic. With a wider Nav Band coming up the lateral side and grabbing the midsole, the foot receives arch support without the bulkiness of underfoot materials. A center strike pod provides guidance in finding the natural landing zone, and modern air mesh wraps the foot for an incredibly comfortable fit.
Runner's World named the PureFlow its "Best Buy" in the Spring Shoe Guide in their March 2012 issue, calling it "a lightweight yet durable shoe that's a steal at its price point" and adding that 80 percent of their testers with normal arches and efficient biomechanics "gave the flow their highest-possible performance rating."
Just like our core line, we hold PureProject to the industry’s highest weartest and durability standards. Because of their lightweight construction and fewer materials, runners should generally expect shoes from the PureProject line to last approximately 250-300 miles.

Fitwise, these shoes had a nice roomy toebox and actually were a bit longer than other Brooks shoes I've tried. The other Brooks shoes I've run have just fit with thin socks – not uncomfortable, just didn't work with socks that had heavy forefoot cushioning. With the PureFlows, I felt like no sock was off limits.
When you run in size 13s like I do, you kind of expect a heavy shoe – that's not the case with the PureFlows. Incredibly light but still cushioned, perfect for a bigger runner like myself.
Even though the cushioning does its job well, you never feel like you've lost contact with the ground. I ran with the PureFlows on the treadmill, street, sidewalks, gravel trails, and singletrack, and felt comfortable in all situations. Grip was adequate in a variety of footings, including some sucky mud on a wooded trail.
I'm not sure how many miles I've put on the PureFlows, butt they still look and feel brand new out of the box, pretty amazing after the variety of surfaces I've thrown at them. These are really well built and high quality shoes.

40 miles a week, 53 year-old marathon maniac, forefoot striker - Love this shoe but just did my first marathon in them on a really wet day. Traction in these was so bad that I had to switch at mile 8 and do the half instead. They weren't like wearing ice skates, but they were extremely unpredictable in the way that they would send your foot out from under you in the wet conditions. After falling a couple of times, I backed way off pace and just made it in. I have run in the rain a lot in the Brooks Launch. I've never had any kind of footing or traction issue, period. It shocked me how poorly this shoe performed on wet road by comparison.

These shoes fit perfectly. I had previously tried on some other Brooks shoes that seemed to be sized comparatively smaller to my current Adidas shoes, but the Shoefitr showed this shoe to be sized almost exactly the same and they were exactly right. The weight of this shoe is great and this shoe provides a great amount of support. The transition to the "ideal heel" has been an excellent move for me.

The Pure Flow has turned into my "go to shoe" for every distance. Recently ran a 50 mile race and used them the entire time. No problem at all. From shorter distances to long runs, the Pure Flow fits the bill. Currently have 420 on my black/blue pair and just received the white/orange. Absolutely love them!

I love this shoe and would have to honesty say it's the best running shoe I've owned. Makes me feel like running just by putting them on. I hope the pure project continues on. What a great start!

i have used this shoe to trail run and run on the road. even though it is so light i feel that there was ample cushioning to soften the impact when running and i really don't notice that much difference between this shoe and the other traditional shoes in terms of cushioning or support although i have neutral foot alignment. it has enough traction for any trail with the exception of really loose pack. have not run with shoes in wet conditions.

I run 25-30 miles a week in these shoes. I have been amazed at how much better they perform than any I have owned before. For nearly a year, I had been running in a competitor's top shoe, but I couldn't seem to heal from nagging injuries. I decided to try the Pure Connects, and my feet are thanking me for the change.
These shoes are lighter and faster than any I have ever owned. They also give more support than similarly weighted minimalist shoes. My wife recently bought a pair of Pure Cadence, and my sister bought a pair of Pure Connects. We all PR'd in a recent 10k with these shoes. When my wife finished her first run in her Pure Cadence, she said, "Wow, these shoes feel fast!" I agree. We have about 80 miles on the shoes so far, and they seem to be holding up well.
Some reviews comment that the tongue slides when they run, but this hasn't been an issue for us. Also, we've run on wet pavement a couple of times, and the shoes seemed to hold their traction well. We love these shoes!

The yellow knob on the outsole seems to cause foot/ ankle pain. Other than that the shoe is well designed.

so far it is what I've been looking for in a pair of running shoes. I've only logged in 9 miles and still in the breaking in period but it has impressed me so far. Outside of not having the option of purchasing a wider pair of shoes the fit and comfort are just perfect.

I'm a heavier-framed guy at about 205 lbs, although I now run 15-20 miles per week. I'm probably considered a neutral runner who likes a little bit of extra cushion, but I also prefer to "feel my runs" naturally...and....I LOVE these shoes. I just ran on the treadmill, so have yet to take them outdoors, but let me just say the ONLY (2) reasons I stopped running just now were that I had to get back to work, and because people have warned me to "start slow" in these types of shoes due to the tendency to start forefoot or midfoot striking (which I think I sometimes do anyway). These shoes are probably the MOST comfortable I have ever worn out the gates. I typically wear Ghost 4s, Ghost 4 GTXs, Glycerine 8s, and before that the Nike Air Pegasus 25-27 models. I believe I will use these shoes for mid-tempo runs, 5ks, and probably 10k's as well as speed work. Beyond that distance I will have to see.
Simply put - I LOVED THEM from the minute I tried them on. I understand the comments about them being a bit "bouncy", but I think some runners need that extra lift. Combined with their light weight, I feel like I could run forever in these...What a breath of fresh air!
I have read comments about them breaking down fast, but I understand the entire Pure line is that way due to the lightweight materials and minimalist construction. To me, that just means I will conserve this shoes mileage to work them in with my weekly routine for when the mood and distance are right. Can't wait to wear them to my weekly run group night though and hear all the commentary!
Thanks again, Brooks.

I wear these everyday when I do my 5 miles of running. I've amassed five pairs of true running shoes since I started long distance running in October 2011. The PureFlow are my favorite, probably because they're the lightest and most comfortable.

The fit is fantastic. My averaged sized, averaged shaped foot feels fantastic and secure with the band across the top. I race 5ks whenever I can and they perform perfectly for competition. I have decided to retire them after I completed my first 50 miler. After 600 miles of training and casual use they are finally lookin' pretty ratty. Sooo I bought a new pair. I will not be happy if anything is changed about this shoe for next year. let it be, its perfect.
