Runners are raving about these shoes – and so is Runner's World! The PureConnect was named "Best Debut" in Runner’s World’s Winter 2012 Shoe Guide in the December issue. The editors said the PureConnect "strikes a balance between barefoot-inspired minimalism and cushioning-required training. It has a lightweight, barely there feel yet is substantive enough to handle long tempo runs."
You'll feel your run from head to big toe with the radically lightweight and flexible PureConnect. Neutral runners who crave less shoe and more freedom will love the maximum breathability of an open mesh upper built on a slim and nimble underfoot.
A split toe groove extends through the forefoot allowing the runner to really engage the foot and get a greater sense of connection to the ground. This is a shoe for those who want as little as possible between them and the road.
Just like our core line, we hold PureProject to the industry’s highest weartest and durability standards. Because of their lightweight construction and fewer materials, runners should generally expect shoes from the PureProject line to last approximately 250-300 miles.

I am not a runner, but I'm really into Zumba and I was having a hard time finding a fitness shoe that was flexible and supportive along with light weight at the same time. I tried on all the "Zumba" fitness shoes and was hesitant to order right from a website...after a billion searches online and trips to the Mall I went into a store and asked for Zumba shoes. The guy hands me these cute Brooks and I put them on and it was love at first feel...I could Samba, Tango, Salsa without the traction of the shoe getting in the way. (you really need a dance shoe or cheerleading shoe),I tried everything Puma, Nike, Zumba, and they were too stiff and didnt have the breathability that these do and I workout 1-3 hours a day, So here you go Brooks, thank you for this shoe I'm going to be getting a second pair and you can add Zumba to the uses.

Here is the problem.
These shoes are great, except, for some reason the women's version rubs at the heel. (The material in the heel pocket for the men's and women's is different). I am not a person who normally has any problems with shoes rubbing but I would suggest to the ladies (despite the colorway being so awesome) order the men's version (which is much softer in the back) in the appropriate size. Your heels will thank you.

I bought the Pure Connect after loving my Pure Flow shoes. I thought the purple Pure Connect was really cute for summer. I wear my pure flow shoes to work, I am a personal trainer so I am on my feet all day. My intent was to wear the cure purple Pure Connect in the summer. I was so disappointed when I could barely get my foot in it. I will be sending them back to exchange for a bigger size.

Can't advise much further as I have not worn them very much yet. I like very much so far

I bought my first pair of PureConnect's because I wanted a lighter shoe with a minimal feel. I experienced a lot of hip and foot pain at first. Once my feet and legs were accustomed to the shoe and type of running, I felt GREAT! I am able to run farther and longer than I ever have. I have also shaved almost a full minute off of my mile. My runs feel more natural and less choppy. My feet stay cool, and I have NO blisters. I just bought my second pair! The only downside is that they wear VERY quickly.

They take some getting used to, but right away I felt as though I ran "differently." Parts of my foot I never noticed were sore after running in these, and I could tell I was running more like I was barefoot on the beach. So far, I am really enjoying this product.

I am a nurse and on my feet for at least 12 hours a shift. I was reluctant to try them on because of the price. I am so happy I did. They allow your feet to breath as well as provide good support. I will be purchasing another pair of Brooks in the future.

I am a top xc/track athlete where I am from, and I use this shoe for my training (and my middle school track races that didn't allow spikes- the shoes were great and I won the races). I am 14 years old, 5'1 and weigh 93 pounds... and I have found my shoe! I loved the high arch height, because in many of the shoes I have tried on the arch is too low and doesn't even touch my foot. This shoe is a godsend for all the lightweight, efficient, and fast athletes that are looking for a fast training shoe that allows them to maintain a forefoot (or midfoot) strike but still allows enough cushioning to protect from injury.

Sorry I will have to return these. I really like them, but I have a bunion on one foot and they are too narrow on that foot only. I hope that maybe a Men's shoe in this style may work for me.

I am thrilled with the Pure Connects. My form typically includes a lazy left foot. My first run with these was on a treadmill for speedwork. My lazy foot tendency was significantly lessened in these shoe. I also felt that I was in a more natural position, therefore more efficient. I'm super impressed with them.

Love these shoes!! Very lightweight and supportive at the same time. Helps me run more on the forefoot and much less on my heels! Running feels GREAT now!!!!
