I had never tried Brooks shoes before but I won them at a health expo.[...] It is the best shoe I have ever owned for walking. Very comfortable. These do not rub or slip around. I have a slightly narrow foot and most athletic shoes are way too wide[...]I will buy this brand again.

I love the Dyad 5. I have had two pair. I bought the Dyad 6 and it just doesn't fit right, eventhough I bought the same size as the Dyad 5. Although there is plenty of toe room when standing still my toes are always hitting the front of the shoe when walking or running. I am going back to the Dyad 5 if I can find a pair.

I have had several foot and ankle surgeries and I use orthodics, this is the best shoe I've ever had for that, I wear my Brooks every day all day, I do go to the gym and I love these shoes but would not buy them if I didn't have the orthodics to correct the lack of a great arch support.

Comments about Dyad 6:
I have been wearing this model of shoe for over 5 years. I have a wide flat foot and I supinate. Most everyone else in the world Pronates, which means the outside of my shoes wear out very quickly. But not with these!!!!! I love that I don't have to buy shoes every 3 months, just once a year.

Comments about Dyad 6:
I bought these shoes for my birthday over a year ago. I was fitted for them at a running shoe store. I was a bit hesitant about them at first, but after wearing them around my apartment, I decided to keep them. Over a year later, I am still in love!! These shoes have kept me running comfortably after a hip and significant knee injury, (both unrelated to the shoes)!! When these wear out, I will definitely be buying another pair of Brooks Dyads!!

Comments about Dyad 6:
Dyad 5 was great because I could use my orthotics in addition to the inserts for extra cushioning on my daily walks. That is why I ordered the Dyad 6. Unfortunately, I cannot use my orthotics without removing the Dyad 6 insert; therefore, the shoe is not as good as Dyad 5 and I will not order it again.

I am an ER nurse and am on my feet 12 hrs a day. I have plantar fasciitis. This is the first pair of shoes that keeps me pain free! I just wish they would hold up longer.

Comments about Dyad 6:
I started running in Brooks shoes about 2 years ago. Never heard of them, but fell in love with the shoe. I love the way the shoe fits, how light it is, you name it! I have been wearing nothing but ever since. I finally went to a shoe store and actually got fitted for shoes. I tried on Dyad 6 and that was it for me! I did try on other pairs, but came back to Brooks! I love my Brooks shoes!!! I have made it my mission to switch those in my life to Brooks!!! Yayyy!

Comments about Dyad 6:
I have used the Dyad for versions 4, 5 and 6 and have really loved the fit. I wear orthotics and the shoe does a great job accommodating them. There is also enough padding in the forefoot to help with my developing bunion (not fun getting older feet) I walk or run 3-4 miles a day (more walking than running).
I too wish they would come out with some new colors.
I am not sure why they haven't made a trail version of the Dyad. I have used them to hike it, but they don't have the best traction.

Comments about Dyad 6:
I was went to a running store to get "fit" for a pair of shoes based on my (mid/low) arches and the way I run. I pronate very slightly in one foot and none in the other so they recommended the Dyad. I also love that it comes in wide widths too. I am now on my 3rd pair of these (started with the Dyad 5). I recently went back to the running store to try a different shoe, but came out with these again as they are so comfortable and lightweight. I run approx 20 miles a week. If you have never tried these on before and plan on doing a lot of running in them, I would recommend ordering at least a half or maybe a full size up from what you normally wear in "everyday" or "dress" shoes so your toes have room -- I wear a 6.5 or 7 normally and wear an 8D (wide) in these shoes. I hope Brooks never stops making this shoe, as I won't even look at another running shoe now that I've found these. Keep in mind though that everyone's feet are different, so what works for me may not work for you. While I would recommend going to a running store that can fit you for a pair of running shoes properly, if you don't have that option and if you need a neutral shoe, don't have high arches, and have wider feet, this may be the perfect shoe for you, too!
