I have four pair of Adrenaline GTS11 (medium - B) size 10s. I ordered the GTS12 (medium-B) in a size 10 since I didn't expect any difference. This one pair COULD be an anomoly, but I thought I'd better warn other GTS11 size 10 afficianados about this. I'm sure the shoe is GREAT like the GTS11 version..but the sizing on GTS12 is different enough that I cannot wear it and will need an exchange. Unfortunately I can only add 2 pictures, so I'm attaching a side-by-side shot to show the difference and a tongue shot of the GTS12. Both the GTS11 and GTS12 ARE the same size on the tongue.

I am a high school cross country and track runner, and I have been happily wearing Brooks Adrenaline for three years. When I started wearing the 12s, I figured they would just take some time to break in; however, I soon found them to be very, very stiff and poorly cushioned. On a recent family trip to Disney World, I wore the shoes for walking around because my past pairs of Brooks have always been pretty great for anything I needed them for, but I soon found out that these were not too great for this. Even though it has been almost three weeks since my trip, my feet still ache on my runs, and I feel an extreme lack of cushioning. I have had them for three months now, so they are well broken in but certainly not worn out, but I do not have the "Wow, these are great shoes" thoughts during my runs like I used to. I am also missing the great arches the old Adrenalines had. I am so sad about this! Please make the Adrenaline 13s like the old Adrenalines!

My podiatrist suggested the Ariel and I used them for a year and a half with custom orthotics. They were heavy and felt like boats on my feet. They are in great shape, but when I tried the Adrenaline, I couldn't believe the difference! I find them so comfortable and supportive without orthotics. Adrenaline seems to conform to my foot- love them. The blue accents are pretty.

I run dog agility in competition and can't wear any other shoe without total discomfort. A large number of our agility handlers wear nothing but Brooks shoes. That is how I learned about Brooks. My feet thank you!

I have been wearing the Adrenaline GTS shoes for a few years and have absolutely loved them! I run 4-5 times a week and also wear my shoes while I'm at work. I'm an athletic trainer so I'm always on my feet and sometimes have to run half a football field to get to an injured athlete. In the past, the shoes have fit perfectly and held up great once I broke them in. I tried for about a month to break these shoes in but developed a stress fracture in my foot because the shoes restricted my natural foot motion when I made contact with the ground. I have wide feet and the shoe seems to be narrower than in past years, even though I have always worn a width B. Sadly, I have to return them because they aren't working out. Please return to the old fit for the GTS!!

I have been getting these shoes ever since I have been jogging. I am a casual jogger who over pronates and I love these shoes. I wish they were less color changes and more white on the shoes. Love the shoes and would not even think of jogging in anything else.

I bought the GTS 11 last March 2011 and loved it! The best sneaker I have ever worn. I had recently had bunion surgery and I could walk forever in this sneaker with NO problems at all - it was amazing! I wanted to purchase another pair and couldn't find it and went on-line; however, it didn't have the black or grey colors I like. What's missing in the GTS 12 is the "bump" that is located in the toe area of the GTS 11 - which no other sneaker has! It was amazing what a difference it makes in the sneaker. I was very disappointed that the GTS 12 did not have this bump. Will you ever be including this bump again ??????? If so, please let me know.
I would recommend this sneaker to a friend but I will probably not buy it again - because I've been spoiled by the GTS 11.

I've been running for about 3 months, and have built up to 5 mile runs, 4-5 times a week. I'm planning a 1/2 marathon in October, so I've been gradually upping my mileage and working on some speedwork. I was running in Nike's, and managed to get a blister on the arch of my foot in the first two miles of each run. OUCH! I started taping my foot, but that was just masking a problem.
Finally, I decided to bite the bullet and go to a proper running store and get fitted for a pair of new sneakers. I'm in love! I ran for the first time in them yesterday, and I was able to run 5 miles with no blisters or pain. In addition, my legs are not nearly as fatigued as they usually are after a run.
I'm sold!
Also, I normally wear a 7.5 in street shoes, but I bought an 8 in these. They fit beautifully with plenty of room in the toe box for my foot to spread while running.

These shoes have turned out to be a disappointment. I was so looking forward to using my first pair of Brooks shoes; my boyfriend, who's also a mid-to-high mileage runner, loves his Adrenalines, and I've run in other brands of shoes. But I only made it through one 4-mile easy run in these, and throughout I experienced arch pain, felt like I couldn't push off from my midfoot because of lack of shoe flexibility, did not feel like I was getting adequately cushioned arch support, and had, as other reviewers have also said, itchiness and discomfort through my socks from the scratchiness of the tongue's lining. Today, the day after that run, I have the beginnings of shin splints and outer ankle pain. None of this, of course, is irreversible, but I'd worry that these issues would get worse with continued use of these shoes.
It seems as though this is an "off" model update to the Adrenalines. It's possible that the shoes are useful for people who have stiff arches (not medium-but-flexible ones like I have) and who don't need very much cushioning when they run, so this could be the cause of the mixed reviews. But for a shoe that promises stability for moderate overpronation and arch support, I would think it would also have at least a bit flexibility and certainly more cushioning for the feet, in order to compete with other companies' similar styles.
I really like the quality of clothing that Brooks makes, as well as everything that Brooks does for the sport of running. But I think that you must figure out what is up with these shoes - they seem to be a serious deviation from previous models.

I've been wearing the Adrenaline in 2005 and absoluetly love it. Tried a different brand just to change it up and came right back. My feet love this shoe.

I have loved Brooks Adrenaline for many years and this is the 5th pair I've purchased. I use them for everything from walking to running half marathons, even a trail run. The GTS 11s are FANTASTIC so I couldn't wait to buy the 12s. However I am very dissapointed with the how stiff the heel is. I feel like I'm stomping through my whole run. The upper mesh of the shoe is very comfotable and I love the pink with the silver mesh. It would be awesome if Brooks combined the heel of the 11s with the upper mesh of the 12s. I would be in love all over again!
