The fit and feel of a running shoe in a casual everyday walker? What's not addictive about that? The new Addiction™ Walker now comes with durable, energy-returning MoGo midsole cushioning, a more supple full-grain leather upper, strong support, and reliable slip-resistant outsole. This shoe provides sturdy support mile after mile by supporting low arches and keeping pronation under control.
The Addiction Walker is also available with V-Strap closures -- just like the lace-up version, but with the convenience of hook-and-loop straps to get you out the door in a flash.

I have been wearing the "old style" Addiction Walker for some time now. I need to wear otrhotics in my shoes and over pronate badly. The "old style" was not very well padded and the tongue kept shifting to the side. However, they fit my orthotics well and their shape contours nicely to the shape of your foot. People who wear otrthotics already have a foot problem and many times is accompanied by chronic pain. Cushioning is an issue!! I recently went on a search to find a more cushioned shoe. I found some other brands were much more cushioned for around the same price. Funny thing.....neither one fit like the Brooks Addiction Walker. I needed shoes so I bought another pair of Addictions. It's the only shoe I can wear and I wear them 24/7. To my surprise changes had been made in the "new style!!" I love the cushioning and the new features so please leave this shoe alone now! Please keep in mind people with medical conditions truly need the cushioning. You have no idea what a gift COMFORT is for us.

I have worn the "old" style of this shoe for many happy years, as it was the only shoe I'd been able to find for my diabetic feet. This new style is very narrow and I tried going up a half size and even tried going up a width, but just couldn't get the right fit.
So, I'm having to track down some place to hopefully stock up on the old style before it's no longer available. If I cannot find them, I don't know what I'm going to do. These shoes were the only thing helping me stay mobile as it is very difficult for me to walk.

Comments about Addiction Walker:
I already had a pair of these Addiction Walkers and knew that I wanted another before the first wore out completely. Although I bought the first pair in an excellent shoe store, it is across the country; so I took a chance buying the second pair online in the same size and style. Thankfully, the shoes seem to be identical and I've been wearing them comfortably since they arrived!

Comments about Addiction Walker:
I am 72 years old and just received my first pair of Addiction Walkers. They are fantastic. Light weight and great support. I use orthotics and it feels like I am walking on a cloud. I had used Ariel previously and due to poor reviews thought I would try the Walkers. So glad I switched.Previous comments about the laces being to short, just unlace the top hole and the laces are plenty long.

Comments about Addiction Walker:
I love this shoe. This is my third pair. I have rheumatoid arthritis and a lot of pain in my feet and ankles. I buy it in wide. It allows me to use my orthodics, doesn't put any pressure on my feet, gives me great ankle support, allows me to walk pain pain free! It is the best! I would recommend it to anyone. Please don't ever change it. It is a shoe I can count on and will buy it forever.

Comments about Addiction Walker:
I know whenever I put on these shoes, I will have lasting comfort whether walking my kindergartener to school, cruising the mall, running after my little ones at the park or even gardening on uneven surfaces where stability is a must. I choose the Addiction walker even though they lack chic factor in style and I feel a bit frumpy/nerdy next to other athletic shoe wearers.

Comments about Addiction Walker:
I was already a long-time Addiction runner fan when I started nursing school in 2004. Then I decided to try the Addiction Walker for my work shoes, since I have always had great success with the runner. They were comfortable and supportive all day from day one, even for an entire 12-hour shift of walking around all over the hard hospital floors (one time I wore a pedometer at work and clocked over 7 miles). An added bonus - the leather uppers protect my feet from any nasty spillage I might encounter on the job. I do myself a favor and purchase a new pair every year on my birthday, at the same time I renew my nursing license. My feet thank me every day!

Comments about Addiction Walker:
I fast walk 30 mins a day as my cardio work-out, and LOVE the Addiction Walker! I have custom orthotics and they fit perfectly (with the included insoles removed, of course). My retailer didn't have my size (women's 12 wide) so I got a men's 11 wide and they are very ample and comfy without being "too" big. I bought a pair of Brooks Defyance running shoes a couple years ago (for walking) and although I like them, they are vented on top which lets in rain, dirt and cold (the design is to "vent" hot feet which is great for runners). So I like the leather Addiction walkers better (I might still use my Defyance runners for summer though). If I wasn't already addicted to my daily walks, I would be now! I give the Addiction Walker my highest recommendation.
