The fit and feel of a running shoe in a casual everyday walker? What's not addictive about that? The new Addiction™ Walker now comes with durable, energy-returning MoGo midsole cushioning, a more supple full-grain leather upper, strong support, and reliable slip-resistant outsole. This shoe provides sturdy support mile after mile by supporting low arches and keeping pronation under control.
The Addiction Walker is also available with V-Strap closures -- just like the lace-up version, but with the convenience of hook-and-loop straps to get you out the door in a flash.

I have been wearing the "old style" Addiction Walker for some time now. I need to wear otrhotics in my shoes and over pronate badly. The "old style" was not very well padded and the tongue kept shifting to the side. However, they fit my orthotics well and their shape contours nicely to the shape of your foot. People who wear otrthotics already have a foot problem and many times is accompanied by chronic pain. Cushioning is an issue!! I recently went on a search to find a more cushioned shoe. I found some other brands were much more cushioned for around the same price. Funny thing.....neither one fit like the Brooks Addiction Walker. I needed shoes so I bought another pair of Addictions. It's the only shoe I can wear and I wear them 24/7. To my surprise changes had been made in the "new style!!" I love the cushioning and the new features so please leave this shoe alone now! Please keep in mind people with medical conditions truly need the cushioning. You have no idea what a gift COMFORT is for us.

I have worn the "old" style of this shoe for many happy years, as it was the only shoe I'd been able to find for my diabetic feet. This new style is very narrow and I tried going up a half size and even tried going up a width, but just couldn't get the right fit.
So, I'm having to track down some place to hopefully stock up on the old style before it's no longer available. If I cannot find them, I don't know what I'm going to do. These shoes were the only thing helping me stay mobile as it is very difficult for me to walk.

Comments about Addiction Walker:
I discovered these shoes after foot surgery when they were a lifesaver for me. I'm fully recovered but continue to wear these when I walk and lift weights. They are the most supportive and comfortable shoes I've ever worn. Only wish they were more attractive.

Comments about Addiction Walker:
I wear these Mon. thru Fri. at work only. I am a nurse and stand all day long. So I am on my feet for 8 hours a day. These give great support to my arch. They last around 6 months. Considering what I do I think this is a great amount of time.

Comments about Addiction Walker:
I walk approx, 3-6 miles a day.
You need to add a rubber inner sole to this shoe. The cloud foam one, breaks down after the first couple of walks. I found that my husbands "Brooks Beast" comes with the "Proper rubber type" insole.
My ball of my foot started hurting, until I had to buy my own rubber inserts for the shoe.
Otherwise, great shoe. I have worn Brooks for 30 years! You have been a life save for pronation and being able to find a good shoe to wear with orthotics all these years! Keep up the good work.
Thank you,
Judy

Comments about Addiction Walker:
I was looking for a comfortable walking shoe that could double worn with black slacks for a slightly dressier look and I found it. This Brooks Walker is amazing. I wore it for 4 mile walks on a track and to explore a city for a day and it never let me down. I wish I could get it in Navy blue and dark brown - then I'd probably never wear anything else.
