Is the shoe super cushy, because I like the firmness of the levitate as I have gotten injuries from too much cushion and stack height in shoes, but the weight and spring feels like a lot. Also is it a daily trainer or should it stick to faster workouts and shorter distances?

The Hyperion Tempo features DNA FLASH in the midsole, which is nitrogen-infused for an optimal combination of energy return and lightweight that adapts to your unique stride and allows you to run fast. It will not be quite as firm as DNA AMP in the Levitate, but not as cushioned as DNA LOFT in our cushion lineup. We recommend the Hyperion Tempo as a tempo/speed day and race day option.

Can you use the Hyperion Tempo for cross country races?

I use Adrenalines for everyday trainers. The specs say the Hyperion is good for flat arches, but one answer said the Ravenna(now Launch GTS) would be better if you need support, and another says they offer the same support. Which is it?

Hi Edward! Our shoe styles in our inventory are split into 2 sections, Neutral and Support. The support in running shoes is different than the support of insoles or orthotics. The arch spec does not refer to the arch support or the physical arch height within the shoe. Our Support styles include our GuideRails technology, which supports your whole body in its natural stride while keeping excess movement in check. Insoles or orthotics give you support directly under the arch. Our sock-liners are removable so that you can input your own insole or orthotic to achieve personalized arch support. IF you had great success in the Adrenaline GTS style, but looking for a more responsive and quicker style, we recommend the Launch GTS 8. The Launch GTS 8 has the same support as the Adrenaline GTS style, while the Hyperion Tempo is one of our Neutral styles and does not have the same support as the Adrenaline GTS style or the Launch GTS 8.

Will the pureflow series be continued? If not what shoe will replace the low drop position?

Hi James! The PureFlow has been a great model over the years, but it has come to the end of its run. The PureFlow 7 will be the last update in this style's line and retire in early 2021. The PureFlow offered a sock-like fit and plush cushioning with a 4mm drop to help you feel connected with what you are running on. We do not have another neutral 4mm cushion model in our lineup today, but the Hyperion Tempo has an 8mm drop to promote a midfoot to forefoot strike. Another lightweight, mid-drop options are the Revel 4, Ricochet 3, and the Levitate 4.

Difference between Hyperion Tempo and Launch 8?

Hi Michael! They both live in our Speed category and have the same support. The biggest difference is the Hyperion Tempo has the DNA FLASH midsole that gives a lighter feel with more energy return. The Hyperion Tempo has an 8mm midsole drop and the Launch 8 has a 10mm drop.

I love the ghost's and usually wear a wide usually. I know this doesnt come in a wide but would you recommend I go up half a size? I would love this sneaker to be my marathon sneaker.

I use Ravenna since I have a low-arch foot to get the support with the speed. I was wondering if this model is recommended for someone like me who wants to do speedy runs but have low-arch foot. The new Ravenna is still not out and I do not like the previous model that much to buy a second pair. Should I consider this model? Appreciate the help :)

The Ravenna is our support shoe that lives in our speed category. If you need the support in the Ravenna, We would not recommend the Hyperion Tempo as this is a neutral shoe.

Is enough good for daily wear if Ian standing all day in my work?

The shoe is very comfortable, so I think the experience will be pleasant. If you want super cushion, then the Glycerin would be my choice.

I’ve used Brooks shoes for over 15 years and was advised to use your shoes with more support. Your finder didn’t include parameters to address the arches of the feet. Why not?

Our shoes do not come with arch support as an insole would provide. The support may refer to our stability shoes, which have our GuideRail technology that provides support for people who tend to pronate.

How similar is this to the Brooks Hyperion? I have been running in Hyperions for years, and am very disappointed that they are no longer available. Is the Hyperion Tempo a natural successor to the Hyperion, or do you have some other shoe that is more like the old Hyperion?

The Hyperion Tempo is a successor of the Hyperion and the Hyperion Elite would be the most recent and updated version of the Hyperion series. The Tempo similar to the original Hyperion is a light weight style designed for quick transitions and a responsive ride, however, the Tempo is built with DNA FLASH rather than DNA Midsole, BioMoGo DNA found in the Hyperion.

Do you plan on having a wide width size?

Good question! At this time it appears we don't have any plans for the Hyperion Tempo in multiple widths.

How narrow is this shoe through the midfoot? I generally have no issues with width in the forefoot/toebox but have noticed that some shoes that are narrow through the midfoot make them impossible to run in. Currently in a pair of Adrenalines but the knee and lower back pain is out of control. Need something new.

My rotation shoes are Ghost's and the Tempo's are a bit more snug in the mid foot than those but not tight for me, I do have a narrower foot however. I ran in Adrenaline GTS 16 a few years ago after foot surgery for the support. Even though those were a few models ago I'd be more concerned that the Tempo's are a very , very light neutral shoe and not by any means a support shoe like the Adrenaline's that I knew. If you do try them just watch your calendar close for the return cut off, just in case! Hope that helps you and good luck.

The Tempo has a life expectancy of 200-300 miles. The Elite is meant for the big race and has a life expectancy of 50-100 miles.
