Technology

DriLayer Horsepower

This fabric evokes the standard measure of power and for good reason. Get the same giddy-up in places where you need a little extra oomph-like tights and sports bras.

Fabric & Care

DRILAYER®

Our signature sweat-wicking fabric is thoroughly tested for comfort, performance, and durability and optimized to keep you, the runner, performing at your best.

Handwashing is ideal, but not always possible. Fasten all hooks and straps, place in a lingerie bag and use the gentle or delicate cycle. Always line dry, and never use dryer sheets or fabric softeners—they can clog the fabric and shorten the life of the bra.

literally the only sports bra worth purchasing

    2017/07/18 | Mountain west |

I'm a HWP 34G and this is the only sports bra i have ever owned that absolutely did its job - no matter what I'm doing, the ladies are held immobile but in complete comfort. I roll jiu jitsu, and a bra that will keep breasts exactly where they are is invaluable (you don't want breasts to suddenly appear elsewhere just because someone put you in an inverted position - accidental breast grabs are no one's favorite thing), but jiu jitsu also involves being crushed into a mat, contorted into pretzel shapes, and sweating harder than you've ever sweat in your life - so the bra needs to be completely comfortable, completely flexible, and deal with moisture wicking. This bra does it all. And you look fantastic in it, so I'm kinda thankful I'm under a gi because i'm not there to show off the ladies, even though that's super fun when you want to :D For reference, I wear a 34G in conventional UK bra sizes, I purchased the 34E Maia because I wanted to ensure the band size was small enough. Though the construction of the bra is pretty accurately molded, there's enough room for variations of size/shape that an E fit me just fine. The band stretched slightly over a couple of months, but no more than i would expect any regular high quality to stretch (one set of hooks). I expect my set of Maias to last me years. And when I heard they'd discontinued the line, i ran around the internet buying up as many as i could find. So what i want to know is, have they brought it back? Or was Brooks camping on a warehouse of them? :D

I love this bra. I'd recommend going down a cup size though. I wish they had more colors.

    Consistently Awesome

    2017/06/20 | San Antonio Texas |

I love this bra. I have tried so many bras trying to find one that provides support, control and comfort (be it a 5k or an ultra marathon). MIA has never let me down. They wear well, launder well and don't smush the girls or give the "unibreast" appearance. I also don't have chaffing that can be a problem especially with the Velcro adjustments in the front-adjust bra straps. Go-to bra for sure.

    Too Big

    2017/04/17 | tx |

It was too big. I ordered the size I always wear and I expected it to be a little snug but it was the opposite. I returned it, instead of exchanging it so this review may not be 100% fair as I never tried one that fit properly.

    New and Improved!!!

    2017/04/12 | North Bergen, NJ |

I love the new strap design. The shorter straps make it easier to adjust for a more supportive fit (less bounce). I have 4 older Maia bras that I had to alter to change the straps, so I was so happy when I ordered another one and didn't have to break out the sewing kit. Thank you Brooks for making a great sports bra for a larger bust.

My Go-To Bra, but getting confused on size

    2017/04/07 | North Plainfield, NJ |

This is my fourth Maia bra (I bought two others, but have not worn them yet). Of the first three I got, I thought the first was a bit shallow in the cup, so I bought a larger cup (same band size) for my next two. The first was two inches larger across the band than the original; the second was two inches larger than that. I didn't want to go down a band size because I didn't want something that was too tight, but I think the sizing changed again -- the new bra's band is about 2" larger than that of widest of the old, stretched out bras. Given the inconsistent sizing, I'm afraid that if I returned it for a smaller size, it would be much too tight.
