Technology

DriLayer Horsepower

This fabric evokes the standard measure of power and for good reason. Get the same giddy-up in places where you need a little extra oomph-like tights and sports bras.

Fabric & Care

DRILAYER®

Our signature sweat-wicking fabric is thoroughly tested for comfort, performance, and durability and optimized to keep you, the runner, performing at your best.

Handwashing is ideal, but not always possible. Fasten all hooks and straps, place in a lingerie bag and use the gentle or delicate cycle. Always line dry, and never use dryer sheets or fabric softeners—they can clog the fabric and shorten the life of the bra.

The Jubralee is a good bra, much like the Fiona (which is a great bra). It does not provide more support than the Fiona even though some say it is the *most* supportive. I like Fiona better (the perfect bra in my opinion). The Jubralee seemes less substantial--it has got two clasps instead of Fiona's three (in my size), the band is less wide, the straps are taped rather than stitched, the material on the inside around the cups is thinner, the velcro is more flimsy. I found it tighter and more constrictive than Fiona but no more supportive, so I would choose the Fiona (since it's more comfortable comparatively and just as supportive). I never feel or think about the Fiona but I notice that I'm wearing a tight bra when I wear the Jubralee. However, it doesn't stretch (like Fiona does) so if you find your perfect size, it'll stay that way for multiple workouts between washings. But if you love Fiona, stick with it! The price difference between the bras also makes no sense to me--the Jubralee does not seem any more complicated in terms of materials, design, etc.

I got the Jubralee in the same band/cup size as the Fiona (34C) and it was fine, though I can see why some people might find it constricting and want to go up a size. If you're okay with a really tight bra, you can buy it in your normal size.

I bought this as an in-between bra, to wear while running. I've lost some weight and the girls have shrunk, and my other brand sports bra had gotten saggy and baggy. I tried on every Moving Comfort bra this running shop had (at least the ones made for D-DD). Here's my rundown of all of them, starting with Jubralee:

Jubralee: Put it on like a bra, so no awkward "sports bra yoga" moves. Lightly padded, so only slight "headlight" effect when it's chilly. Moderate support (we shall see how these velcro straps hold up - literally). Minimal back fat, but still armpit fat. This bra does run small. I was wearing a 38DD in my old sports bra (another brand), but my regular bras are 38D. I purchased this one in 38DD but probably could have used a 38E, except the store didn't carry it.

Fiona: My runner-up choice. It wasn't as heavily padded as the Jubralee, but the fabric was softer. The rib band curled up when I jogged in place. It didn't feel nearly as supportive/compressive as the other bras. This one would have been nice for light yoga or walking.

Maia: I was excited for the underwire, but less than thrilled about the neckline and back situation. This bra was easy to get on as well. But no matter what band size I tried, I had back fat. Oh, and headlights galore! The underwire also shows through. Not attractive. Minimal armpit boobage.

Juno: The extra padding in the straps was a nice touch, but putting this bra on required the skills of a contortionist. Why are all these sports bra companies suddenly combining hooks AND racerback? They've got to be designed by men, or women who don't understand the difficulty of trying to "slip" a racerback sports bra on over large breasts. Again, no matter what band size I tried on, I had back fat. Although, look at the models in all of these pictures. Zoom in. They've all got it too. And armpit fat.

Rebound Racer: The only discernible difference between the Rebound Racer and the Juno was the thickness in the shoulder straps. Otherwise, it was a binding yoga pose just to get into this thing. Back fat and armpit fat, again.

Will I buy Moving Comfort again? I'm not sure. I'm about 50/50 right now. We'll see how long the Jubralee holds up.

    Comments about Jubralee:

As a nursing mother, I need a sports bra that is super supportive, flexible, and able to be used as a nursing bra without snagging when putting the straps back together. I tried a few other Moving Comfort options but this combination of shoulder straps (not too restrictive like the racerback) and material (that doesn't snag when put straps back) was perfect for me!

        Comments about Jubralee:

I run outside about 4-5 times a week. I'm 32D so most bras allow for too much bounce while running. For the past few years, I've been wearing the Fiona, which I also like, but the Jubralee is even better in terms of support and comfort. Also keeps me cool even on really hot days.

I was in desperate need of a new running bra and at my size I need something STRONG. I used their online measurement tool and this and one other bra came up. I was excited but as soon as I tried it on I knew it would never do for running. It is very comfortable, but there is no support. I'm keeping it, however, as it will work for things like hiking, yard work, and weight lifting where bouncing isn't as bad.

Love love love that it hooks from the back and does not have to be put on over my head!! As a 34 full DD I prefer my sports bra to lock & load with no bounce while I run, that said I still needed to wear two of these bras. Wearing only one there was still too much bounce for me. Wearing two is ok with me as long as there is no bounce. Hoping someday I can find a sports bra with enough support that I only need to wear one.

              Bring Back the "Bigger" Sizes!

              By

              from New York, NY

              About Me Competitive Athlete

              Comments about Jubralee:

I have a few 30E Jubralee bras, but it appears that Brooks is doing everything in its power to alienate a lot of devoted customers on the "larger" side of the spectrum by discontinuing production of E cup sizes.

I blame Victoria's Secret, and the fact that many women in America are in the wrong size bra for this phenomenon. Once upon a time, I thought I was an easier-to-shop-for 34D. Turns out the sales folks at Victoria's Secret only told me that size because that was the "sister size" to my real 30DDD/30E size. The problem? Most of a bra's support comes from the band, not the cups. Sure, my breast tissue fits in a 34D, but not in a way that actually supports the girls. And when it comes to a sports bra, not without significant chafing, since a loose band + running = movement and rubbing.

So Brooks, please don't turn into Victoria's Secret. Stay true to yourself, stay the company I've come to love, and for god's sake bring back E cups.

                Comments about Jubralee:

I have been wearing the Jubralee for years. It is the only sports bra I have found so far that truly keeps everything tucked in, strapped down, and minimizes bounce on my runs. My only complaint is that most athletic tops are racerbacks so you always see the bra straps. But wouldn't trade this bra for anything. Love the adjustable straps and back panel, and like that it provides nice coverage without feeling like a second shirt.
