I'm a beginning runner(again) with low arches. I had custom orthodotics until I accidentally threw them away in some old shoes. I ran/walked in a 4 mile race last month without orthodotics. I have not any injuries, such as shin splits or plantar fasciitis since I bought the shoes in Feb. '10.They a little stiff & heavy at first, but not now.

running hurts my knees, but I love to do it. These shoes make it possible, but I have to say I liked the last version (Addiction 8) better. Those shoes completely eliminated pain in my knees. But they are a great shoe

I have been buying the Addiction for years. Never came in "wide" so I have had to order a half size up. Now, I saw wides were offered, so I ordered my true size. These shoes were no different than the "medium" widths. I had to pay a hefty sum to ship the too small shoes back.

I love everything about this shoe. The fit and support/control is the best I've ever found. I've had trouble before in finding the right shoe because of my narrow feet, especially the heels. I'm so glad that these shoes come in narrow widths. It's comfortable and well cushioned. I don't understand why some reviewers find them ugly. I think they're very attractive, and I wouldn't change a thing about their appearance. They do run short. I had to go one full size larger than my regular shoe size.

addictions only have one color a year and this version is great--a slate blue with white and silver; matches anything. I wear for every day and to work out. VERY stable, impt to me due to knee issues and a fallen arch. Fits my orthodics well. Been told this year's styling/colors makes my feet look smaller--which is good!

The stripes and plastic bits are in-your-face and not functional.
I have to dig gravels out of the soles every time I come indoors.
They are the only shoes that really stabilize my foot for all day wear.

i'm a nurse and constantly on my feet for 12-14 hours three times a week. I use to have plantar fascitis and my chiropractor recommended this shoe. The pain in my heels are gone now. Thank gawd.
