The Green Silence Ghost 15 features dope dyed textiles, an innovative process which transforms colored pellets into yarn while reducing water usage by 94% and greenhouse gas emissions by 92% compared to traditional dyeing methods.

Recycled material in the upper

80% of the total upper materials by weight come from recycled material, the highest percentage of any shoe in our line. Here’s where that material shows up: 

  • 98% of total upper textiles by weight 

  • 100% recycled material in the vamp mesh, tongue mesh, sockliner top cloth, and textile reinforcements  

  • 92% in the tongue and collar lining  

  • 25% in the tongue and collar foam  

Recycled material in the midsole and outsole

For the first time ever, the midsole of the Green Silence Ghost 15 features recycled material

  • The midsole is made up of 10% recycled material

  • The outsole is made up of 10% recycled material

With the introduction of the Green Silence in 2010, we set out to create a racing flat that pushed performance and sustainability to a new level – and it delivered!  

 

The Green Silence developed a devoted following over the years for its earth-first innovation and its lightweight, connected feel. Its legacy lives on in the Green Silence Ghost 15, which features the most recycled material by weight of any shoe in our line.
