On July 18th, 2026, Olympic athlete and Brooks Beast Josh Kerr will attempt to break the mile world record in London in front of a crowd of 60,000. Set on British soil, this attempt carries both personal and cultural significance. Josh will need to run the mile in 222 seconds to beat the longstanding, 27-year record and take the mile home. This is Project 222.
