I'm a 265 lbs. former rugby player with neck and lower back issues. I got these shoes to help stop the aches and pains along my spine that have plagued my running ever since I stopped playing rugby due to injury. I could not be happier with these shoes. They REALLY absorb the impact of the pavement, and help my neck stay pain free the day after a run. If you need extra padding on your feet to help you avoid pain, these are the right ones for you.

These are the best running shoes I have worn. I've been through Asics and Nike, but I prefer the fit and comfort of Brooks Trance 11. The only downside (slight) is that I find I wear through a pair of Brooks faster that I did Asics, but overall I highly recommend these shoes.

I'm 6'0, 180 with moderate overpronation and I generally average between 20 to 25 miles a week. In the last year I've worn the Adrenaline GTS 11s and the Trance 10s (all are outstanding shoes) and I can defintitely say this is my favorite model thus far. After long runs my feet feel great and have little soreness the following day. The shoe is heavier than the Adrenaline series due to the extra support and cushioning and not quite as responsive, but as far as overall comfort and overpronation control is concerned this shoe is the superior model. I definitely would recommend this shoe for anyone that needs overpronation support and puts in alot of miles.

I love the Trance 11!
I've worn Foot Solutions custom orthotics for over 5 years. Brooks are the only athletic shoes that I've found to accommodate such a device. I would highly recommend this shoe for anyone looking for control, stability, and accurate fit. I will always recommend custom orthotics for arch support; the removable foam foot-beds in any shoe do not provide the proper arch support.
