BlueLine Lab History
In major marathons, racers follow the blue line — the fastest route from start to finish. Our BlueLine Lab tackles futuristic shoe technology with the same approach, using the fastest path to get advanced prototypes developed and on to the feet of runners at lightspeed. The BlueLine team is quick on their feet and have been breaking new ground in speed, trail, and cushion shoes for years. Take a look at the roadmap of BlueLine Lab shoes, past to present.

Aurora (2023)
The BlueLine Lab creates never-before-done technology, then scales it back into shoe form. For the Aurora, the Brooks BlueLine Lab introduced the first-ever, nitrogen-injected, ultra-soft DNA LOFT v3 cushioning — cushion so soft, you’ll feel like you’re defying gravity.

Hyperion Elite (2020)
A shoe rooted in speed. The Hyperion Elite was developed at a rapid pace, which is fitting considering the prototype is what Des Linden wore to win the 2018 Boston Marathon. The Hyperion Elite features responsive, nitrogen-infused DNA FLASH cushioning and unique carbon fiber propulsion plate to keep you running faster, longer. This is now included in our in-line collection.

Hyperion Tempo (2020)
The Brooks BlueLine Lab paved the way to better training sessions and new PRs with the revolutionary cushioning process. The Hyperion Tempo’s DNA FLASH cushion is infused with nitrogen, to deliver a fast, super lightweight ride with incredible energy return. This is now included in our in-line collection.

Catamount (2020)
With the BlueLine Lab’s streamlined process, the Catamount — a trail shoe developed for max speed and distance — was developed in just 6 months. That’s half the time it typically takes to produce a shoe. This is now included in our in-line collection.
