Definitely but go a whole size up!!!
Love this shoe! I do lots of XC but sometimes there are small bits of road, so spikeless version of the Mach 18 was perfect. The first pair I bought were my usual size 11, I've never had to go a size bigger in shoes. But these were way too small. Thankfully brooks have a no quibble return policy in the first 90 days. I'd used them twice in mud by the time I realised they just wouldn't work. Sent back and replaced with a whole size bigger 12. They are light, very comfortable up to about 7/8 miles, then I found the toe box too narrow for my already narrow feet and I got some rubbing. This might get better in time but never been totally sure why shoe makers still make pointy toe boxes?! Anyhoo...grip is amazing, flexible midsole, they don't hold mud and water drains really quickly...love these shoes! Just make sure you go a size up, if you have really wide feet you might struggle with these...well you wouldn't if Brooks sorted the pointy toe box out, seriously!!! Good for K1 Kayak racing
Excellent on soft slippy stuff. Warm with thin socks on cold days crazy different colour left and right. Good feel for steering in the boat. No grip on wet concrete.

A rare runners flat.
This shoe meets my needs precisely: namely a lightweight thin soled shoe, but thick enough to cope with rough ground, and studs for off-road. I had looked in vain to find such a shoe in my size (UK 13.) until I found the Mach 18 last year. That pair, after some 400 miles is still going strong (except that the uppers started to separate from the sole in the instep of one foot, which I had to repair). Now 83 I only run c.10 miles/week. But what a daft idea to have different colours for each foot! Read MoreSizing | Feels half size too small |
