Great lightweight trail shoe

The Cascadia is very light weight but has great cushioning. Reinforced rubber toe keeps socks dry on damp mornings. Great looking shoe, a new favorite!

Older runner, wide feet, tracks vs road.

I'm an older runner getting back into it after 6 years break. I have wide feet which seem to be getting wider with the years. Brooks was a brand recommended to me for my age and shoe width. Though I run 50-50 on road and field tracks, the online selection questionnaire only offered either one or the other - I opted for track. Though I run 50-50 on road and field tracks, the online selection questionnaire only offered either one or the other - I opted for track. Initial impression on trying the shoes for size was they were perfect in length but a snug fit in the width, though not too uncomfortable. I ran over rough ground first time out and soon forgot about the snugness, I thought they were great. Second time out, I ran mostly on tarmac and though not uncomfortable, they felt very different, like they were sticking to the surface. So, these are definitely rough track shoes. Time may tell and maybe I'll simply stick with track and avoid road surfaces but early impression is that these are great shoes. Read More

Maybe

1) First color in description was gray. So, I expected most of the shoe would be gray. Not so. The primary color was either black, or near black. 2) Love your shoes, but they should last longer. They wear out too fast.

Wide feet, impossible foot.

Now I use these for hiking and everyday walking. I wanted to use a cascadia for the Pacific Crest Trail this year and ended up with a few other competitors because Brooks did not offer a wide enough shoe for me. Trail shoes are very hard to find in a wide and none of them offered what my foot needed and never felt comfortable. This show is the first exception to all of that, granted I use brooks…

I wanted to use a cascadia for the Pacific Crest Trail this year and ended up with a few other competitors because Brooks did not offer a wide enough shoe for me. Trail shoes are very hard to find in a wide and none of them offered what my foot needed and never felt comfortable. This show is the first exception to all of that, granted I use brooks 2E for running shoes as well and they always fit me perfectly. If there is one thing Brooks does right its making a perfect 2E for my foot. I like the addition of the gaiter trap on these and would not ask for much to be changed other than offering wide in other colors. Read More
