I would buy these runnings again in a second!

This was my first pair of brooks running shoes. I had previously ran in Adidas' Adizeros and Nikes' flyknit racers. As result of Adidas and Nike doing away with there superlight running shoes, I decided to give the Brooks' Hyperion a try. For about the first two weeks, I absolutely hated the shoe and considered returning them. The sole and heel cup of the shoes were extremely stiff. They ended up causing massive blisters on my heels. However after getting the shoes broke in, the shoes become extremely comfortable. The shoes loosens up and makes you not want to take them off. I would highly recommend the shoe, and I would buy them again in a second. You just need to give the shoes a chance to get broken in. Read More

light, fast & comfy

I got these about two weeks before an 8K I had been training months for. When I tested them out a week before the race, the words "oh, my!" repeated over and over in my head. I not only crushed my goal and previous PR, it felt effortless. These shoes are legit.

Not the Shoe for Me

I love Brooks running shoes but the Hyperions gave me terrible blisters and feel too narrow.

UPDATE

Last October, I reviewed the Hyperion's after earning a PR in my first marathon wearing them (see below). Since then, I've completed two more marathons in these shoes and my PR continues to tumble. I'm down to 3:15.32. The shoes have about 100 miles on them now and the treat is still in great shape. They've still got plenty of life left in them and I couldn't be happier. ORIGINAL…

ORIGINAL POST: Highest Recommendation! My marathon PR was 3:35.19, and had held for two years; then I got the Hyperions! I train daily with Glycerine 15s so I wanted a race-day shoe with a similar drop. I wore these on two break-in runs (8 & 13 miles respectively) prior to racing in them. Not only did I beat my PR, I CRUSHED IT! I finished in 3:24.27; almost 11 minutes ahead of my long-standing PR!! My turnover rate was up 8 strides per minute compared to previous races and the shoes felt great on my feet. I was concerned that they would feel too firm compared to my Glycerines. While they are more firm, I barely noticed. The ride was smooth and the cushioning was totally sufficient, even at mile 26. These aren't everyday shoes, and I expect they won't last much past 200 miles. That said, with 50 miles in, the tread still looks like new. If you're looking for a PR and want a comfortable, fast, ultra-light shoe, you definitely won't regret lacing up the Hyperion!! Read More
