Very nice

Over all they are very comfortable. They are more cushiony than I expected. They are maybe a little narrow in the toes, but not to the point of being uncomfortable. I love how they grip the ground and so far they've had awesome traction for me on dirt, mud, and gravel.

springy, but awesome

I really love these shoes! I usually buy a size up to make room for foot swelling with running, but these feel quite a lot bigger than my usual shoes. However, they are springy and I feel I'm running a lot faster in these shoes due to their pillowy soles. My calves took some time to get used to them. Great shoe. The 'sticky grips' on the bottom are wearing out about 30 miles into these shoes,…

light trail shoe

I love the Ghost shoes and was looking for a Brooks trail shoe that would fit comparably. I have tried a couple other styles unsuccessfully but the Caldera is a pretty close match. A smaller heel drop takes a bit of adjusting to but the width is not too narrow and the tread gives good footing and sheds mud pretty well. I have about 5 runs on the shoe and am happy so far.

Great shoes

I really like this shoe. I agree with another reviewer who said "The perfect combination of comfort while still having a good feel for the trail and ground. My regular runs take me on a combination of dirt single track trails and paved roads, and these work perfectly for that - wonderful on all surfaces." I don't have to wear an orthotic and have no pain in my feet. If you need an orthotic get…

Love These Shoes!!

I agree with the other reviewer who said these shoes feel cushioned but not mushy. The perfect combination of comfort while still having a good feel for the trail and ground. My regular runs take me on a combination of dirt single track trails and paved roads, and these work perfectly for that - wonderful on all surfaces. Love them.

Hi! I did the "find the best shoe for you" test and this popped up. However, I don't do much trail running, mostly road or gym. Would these be okay for cruising around my neighborhood even though they are trail running sneakers? Thanks!!

Hi. The Glycerin 17 could be a good option for you. Thank you !

I have high arches and get occasional pain across the upper bridge of my foot. I also get shin splints. I'm trying to find a good walking/ light jogging/hiking tennis shoe. Looks like maybe the Caldera 3 or Cascadia 14? Input? Thanks, Eloise

Hi. A support shoe would be a better option for you, I would recommend you to try the Adrenaline GTS 19. Thank you.

I liked the Caldera 2's but my suggestion for improvement were the laces, they weren't very long and didn't have stretch, it would take several tries to get the laces just right, how long are the 3's laces and do they have stretch?

Hi. The long of the laces is going to be the same and they don't have stretch. Thank you.

I love the Caldera 2's but often have problems with updated models. How different are these?

I just bought the Caldera 3 at a local store and am now reading about it. I saw another question about whether these have velcro on the back, and I had not even noticed it there. What are these velcro straps for? And while I've got you, what's the little elastic band on the midfoot that goes across the tongue for? Thanks in advance for helping me get to know my new shoes better! I love them already.
