Is the Cascadia16GTX good for severe overpronation,the Ariel works great but I need something for the mountain?

Hi Jaime! The Cascadia 16 GTX is considered a neutral shoe, however, it will be the most stable of our trail shoes and therefore best for overpronators. When you're on the roads, the GuideRails support system delivers a consistent level of support with each stride. But when you're on the trails, your foot is landing differently each time with the varied terrain. Therefore, we do not currently offer any GTS shoes within our trail lineup, as that type of support can end up overcorrecting your gait and causing more harm than good! The Cascadia will be your best match in our trail lineup.

are any of your shoes good for trail and pavement for hiking?

Hi Ellen! The Cascadia 16 GTX is great for trails especially if you're looking for protection from water. If you're look for a style for trail and pavement, check out the Divide 3.

Hi Kelly! While the Cascadia 16 GTX only comes in a Medium width, we recommend the Cascadia 16 for the Wide width.

Hi Cascadia 16 GTX includes our TrailTack rubber outsole for added traction on wet trail like surfaces, but not enough for icy surfaces.

what are the differences in the Cascadia and the Ghost goretex? I currently have the Catamount which I love but want a goretex show for winter

Hi Annamarie! The Cascadia 16 GTX is one of our Trail styles, which similar to the Catamount, has our Trailtack rubber outsole and lugs for added traction on Trail terrain. The Ghost 14 GTX is a waterproof version that is ideal for the Road like surfaces.
