A note from Brooks’ CEO

Addressing COVID-19

To the Brooks Community,

We are in unprecedented times. As the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to impact communities around the world, our thoughts are with all individuals personally affected, the medical professionals and staff dedicated to their care, first responders and all workers continuing to provide for life’s essentials. At Brooks, we are working daily to do our part to slow the spread of the virus, in accordance with guidance from government and health authorities. We support everyone who is doing the same, and we are grateful for their efforts.

Everything good we bring to market is the result of the efforts of our employees so their health and safety is paramount. Right now, all our employees in North America and Europe who can work from home are doing so. Our two retail stores in Washington are open for curbside pickup only. Our North America distribution center in Indiana is operating as an essential infrastructure business, and we have instituted many safeguards including reducing the length of shifts to avoid overlap between employees. Our sourcing and manufacturing teams in China, Taiwan and Vietnam are back in the office and operating in compliance with local health guidance and protocols.

Facing this crisis has us even more committed to supporting health, our communities, and each other. We are inspired by the people and organizations all over the world who are stepping up to help and challenged ourselves to find ways to make meaningful contributions.

  • We want to do everything we can to support our retail partners, who are deeply impacted by this pandemic. Through our “shop local” initiative, runners can use our Store Locator to find nearby retailers and purchase directly from them. We then cover the cost of curbside pickup or same-day delivery so runners can safely continue to support local running stores.
  • We have heard for decades from many in the healthcare profession that Brooks is their go-to-shoe for long hours on their feet. To bring a little of that comfort to those who are working so hard to keep our communities healthy, we donated over 45,000 pairs of shoes globally in April and May to healthcare workers fighting COVID-19.

We encourage all who can to get outside and put one foot in front of the other, as we know it will make your day better. Running is a source of positive energy, and we want to put as much of that energy into the world as possible when people are ready for it.
