Top notch

I use the Pureflow range for distances up to half marathon. They complement my Glycerin 16/17's perfectly as they offer a fast 'connected' run as opposed to the plush cushioned feel of the Glycerins. The dreadful Pureflow 5 was a low point for Brooks, but the 6 -and now the 7- are as good as you'll find anywhere on the market in my opinion.

Favourite shoes - from 5k to the marathon!

First bought these after last year's London Marathon as a comfortable, cushioned training shoe. Always liked the fit of Brooks shoes, with plenty of width in the toe box. I've been looking for a racing shoe to replace the discontinued Mizuno Wave Sayonara and tried a few options. Then I ran a fairly easy half marathon in March and a harder ten-miler in April in the Pureflow and realised I'd already found what I was looking for! The Pureflow are cushioned, but lighter than they look and have a flat ride suited to a mid-foot striker. So, I ran the London Marathon in them and hit my 2:42 target. By the way - our kids think they look pretty cool, which is a bonus. Read More

Good lightweight shoes

These are great lightweight shoes! If you are an individual who needs some arch support due to pronation this might not be the best shoe for you.
