Brooks Inspiring Coaches Program

Coaches do more than shape our runs — they shape our lives. The Brooks Inspiring Coaches Program is all about recognizing the coaches who help young athletes through their journeys.

Who & why

The Inspiring Coaches Program recognizes high school track and cross-country coaches who have gone above and beyond for their athletes. Coaches empower and inspire millions of high school athletes at every level, every year. This is how we say thank you.

We’re honouring exceptional high school coaches by recognizing one track-and-field coach and one cross-country coach from each of the four regions across the US. Out of the eight finalists, two coaches will be named Inspiring Coaches of the Year and receive the grand prize from the Brooks team. Anyone can make a nomination, so if you know an amazing coach, tell us about them.

Why we go the extra mile for our coaches

Coaches are the beating heart of our sport. They anchor us in purpose and push us to reach new goals. They lift us up when we fall, challenge us to dream big, and inspire us to be our best.

See how much coaches mean to these student athletes.

When are nominations open?

Nominations are rolling year to year, so nominate away!

Do you have to be an athlete to nominate a coach?

No way! We love to hear from parents, other coaches, former athletes, administrators, shop owners, observant passersby – in short, anyone who has been inspired.

Does the nominee have to coach at the high school level?
