Best cold weather hat I've found

      Comments about Heater Hog Beanie:

This hat is crazy! I'm normally not much of a reviewer, but I've been so impressed with the Heater Hog, I just had to add my two cents.
Like other reviewers, I was initially skeptical that the thin material would keep my head warm. I was wrong. The first time I wore it out on a run, it was 4 degrees and windy, but my head - and even my ears!! - stayed toasty the whole time. I've NEVER had a hat that actually kept my ears comfortably warm on long runs during gorgeous Wisconsin winters.
The Heater Hog can keep your head almost too warm when the temps get above 20, but since it's so thin, you can easily stick it in a pocket or even carry it - it weighs nothing.
If you run in cold weather, get this hat!

        Comments about Heater Hog Beanie:

I am an all-season outdoor runner, but the temperatures in New England this winter put me on the hunt for new gear. I purchased the heater hog beanie based on other readers' comments. When it arrived, I was skeptical based on the very lightweight fabric - far lighter/thinner than my usual winter hats. Took it for a spin on a single digit day with a zinger of a wind to boot, and was amazed at how warm it kept me. This is the first hat I've had eliminates the piercing pain when it feels like your ears are about to freeze off your head. I'm completely sold on the heater hog - just wish it came in different colors ...hot pink is far too overused in women's accessories/gear.

          Comments about Heater Hog Beanie:

When I opened the package, this was so light and thin that I had my doubts of how warm this would be. However, after a half season of freezing temps, I'm sold! The magic fiber does it's job as advertised, keeping my noggin very warm AND dry. Very durable--it looks as good as the day I bought it after constant use. My only wish is that Brooks would consider releasing a Nightlife version of this beanie. If you need a new winter hat, two words: Buy it! :-)

            Comments about Heater Hog Beanie:

From the online pic I was expecting a thicker hat and was dubious when I felt this thin material was going to keep me warm in Minnesota outside running. Took it out last week at 20 degrees, 15 mile wind so about 5-10 real feel temp and I was never uncomfortable. It breathed well and never sweated either, it was a perfect match of warm and breathable. Very comfortable. This is my new go to cold weather (less than 40 degrees to my low limit of 5 degrees). Thanks Brooks, you nailed this one!!

              Comments about Heater Hog Beanie:

I've had the Heater Hog for two weeks and I feel like I haven't taken it off. I've been using it more and more as the harshening weather rolls into southwestern Ohio, both casually and on the run. As a self-proclaimed cold blooded human being I even wear this at the office. It performs great in both instances providing a great balance of warmth and breathability - it's simply the best beanie I've ever owned.
