5'4" 125# I always size up for Brooks shorts so I got the medium. Turns out these are true to size and I should have goten the small. The cut is very flattering with the split in the front, instead of the thigh saddlebag area.I don't usually wear shorts this short yet this cut enables me to do so. I love the plaid, much better than my quantities of plain black shorts. The reflectivity is why I decided to buy such a very expensive short. It works in my closet, not sure how helpful it is to cars. The only real con, besides the price, is it is designed for a boy-hipped person so the waist is quite large. Many brooks shorts have this fit. All in all, love the shorts and would buy the other 2 colors if they were normally priced.

I bought these shorts because I wanted something a little reflective for early morning runs. The shorts are very comfortable (love the waistband and pockets!) and cute. However two huge negatives: 1. The price- $75 for a pair of shorts?! Definitely NOT worth that much $$. Maybe worth $35 but not $75. 2. The length- I wear other 3.5 inch shorts but these seem even shorter. I bought size small (5'3"/ 117 lbs for reference)and the size fits fine- but they are just so short. I would never want to wear these to the gym or even run into the store to get something after a run. I just got them but I think I'm going to be sending them back.

Comments about PureProject 3.5" Reflective S:

Bought these for running. Inseam says 3.5 inches, but I'm pretty sure it's way shorter than that. I have another pair of running shorts that say the inseam is 3.0 inches, and they're about 2 inches longer than these.

They really are adorable and very reflective. They're also very comfortable from what I could tell (I didn't run in them - just tried them on). If only they were a couple of inches longer!

Tried these shorts on when I got them, and they were enormous. I am 5'7" and 125-130lb, but I have hips and full thighs. Went with a medium instead of small, because the size chart said I should. It fit ok I'm the liner part but the waist was too big. Even with the drawstring yanked tight there was no way they'd stay on for a run. Plus the fabric was very thick. I have several pairs of Brooks Equilibrium shorts but these fell flat.

Cute shorts, I like the wide waist band. But the front seam chaffing is pretty bad. I only ran 3 miles and one thigh was actually bleeding from the chaffing. I like the concept, but it needs some tweaking.

I purchased these shorts in January 2014 when they came out. I LOVE them! They quickly became my favorite spring/summer/early fall running shorts. I didn't like the original price of $75 but now you can find them cheaper. I purchased the same shorts in the reflective pink and fog too (which looks white to me). I am SO happy I bought these and will buy a back up black pair in case mine get ruined.
