        Comments about PureProject 3.5" Short:

These shorts were so cute and I had such high hopes because I thought the slits in the front would make for super comfortable running - however, within in a few miles, the skin was already being rubbed raw on the fronts of my legs where the slits where (even with the body glide I had put on). The fabric is super stiff and whatever it is lined with feels like a tiny razor rubbing your leg constantly after a little while. I'm now sporting two scabs on the fronts of my legs! Anyways, they are cute, but from now on the only running I will be using these for is running errands! Still love Brooks though!!

        Comments about PureProject 3.5" Short:

Overall this is a very cute short. It runs true to size compared to my other Brooks shorts, and has a flattering cut. The seams are a little stiff and the edges are sharp, but this improves significantly after a few wears. I didn't have any chafing, even the first time I wore them, but I did apply a thin layer of vaseline to my inner thighs just to make sure. The only thing I don't love about this short is the way it hangs off of the hips. It almost has a pleated look to it, and doesn't hang straight down the leg and butt like I'd prefer. But it is very lightweight and reflective, so it's my go-to short for evening and early morning runs! So far I've done runs up to 10 miles and I'm very happy with how the short has performed. I haven't tested it on longer runs, but I imagine it will be very comfortable.

        Comments about PureProject 3.5" Short:

I read the reviews warning about one of the seams chaffing but they were talking about on longer runs. I usually at most run 5 miles as conditioning for other sports. I wear shorts to teach fitness classes or lift weights in. My first time wearing them was actually out to lunch. Walking from my car to the restaurant I could tell EXACTLY. What they were talking about. That seam is thick and feels like it's cutting you. So these shorts will be looking cute not working out becaus they are very nice looking! Too bad they weren't a little more careful with the execution.

        Comments about PureProject 3.5" Short:

I loved these shorts as soon as I tried them on. They fit great, look good, and the split in the front is perfect for my athletic quads. However, about 4 miles in, the seam in the front started chafing my leg. I thought it was just because I wasn't used to having a seam there, but no. By the time I hit 5 miles it had gotten bad. I think that for $75 chafing that quickly shouldn't be an issue. If that seam could be smoothed out, these would be the perfect shorts! Definitely not for longer runs.

Shorts are stylish but the fit just has not been mastered yet. Needs to be a tad longer and more fitted--flares out like a shirt.
