Okay for non-technical trails
I am a devoted Cascadia trail runner but my local shop ran out of my size so I tried the Calderas which felt super-comfy in the store. The positives are that the fit is cushy but not excessive, the sole has decent grip, and the lighter weight is nice. But the negative was a deal breaker for me: on moderately technical trails the fit was a little too sloppy for my admittedly narrow feet for me to run confidently in them. Wasn't sure if they are just wider than Cascadias... but I also see the midfoot of the upper lacks substantial overlays that help reinforce a close fit, and this may partly explain the sloppy feel I experienced. For trails or fire roads without technical terrain, these might be great. I'm gonna stick with Cacadias. Read MoreSizing | Feels true to size |

best runners ever!
from the moment these shoes went on my feet i knew they were going to be awesome. they are lively, light and i personally appreciate the little extra room in the toe box. after reading the poor reviews on the updated caldera 2, i was lucky enough to snatch up another pair of the originals.

My new favorite shoes
From the moment I put my feet in these shoes, I was in love. They are amazingly cushioned and they just feel great. Starting with the heel, it feels like there is a little heel cup that encapsulates the heel, making each step feel good. I have room in the toe box to wiggle my toes comfortably. Also, I have a wide foot, so for a woman's shoe, there is no tightness at all, especially when I tie them up. I would recommend this shoe that's looking for a great looking shoe that is also comfortable. Read MoreSizing | Feels true to size |

I would definitely buy these shoes again
I really enjoy my new calderas when out for the trail. Not only are these comfortable but also great on the trail and pavement! Can't wait for my next pair

NextI know this shoe is categorized as a "trail" shoe but is it ok to run with this shoe on the road or treadmill also? I'm looking for a shoe that can be worn on trail or road.
The Caldera can be worn on the road, but we cannot guarantee the expected life of the shoe, if worn off trail.
Im currently in the latest Glycerin model (womens 10), Do these run similar to those, run bigger/smaller? I'm not sure what size to purchase
Hi! You should order the same size as the Glycerin! Brooks Running
Is this a waterproof shose?
Is this shoe waterproof?
It is not waterproof. Waterproof shoes will be denoted with GTX.
I love my Cascadias but I tear out the side where my foot bends after 200 miles. Why do I do this and do I need to try a different shoe? I use Glycerin for road and Cascadia for trail
