Style #120171

Originally born in 1982, the legendary Brooks Chariot was one of the most worn running shoes by runners in the eighties. Our rejuvenated award-winner features many of the same tech qualities pioneered during the decade. A diagonal rollbar for pronation control, molded tri-layer insole for cushioning, solid rubber outsole, reflective hits for visibility – this shoe blew legwarmers out of the water. Crafted from our history yet designed for the modern woman, what’s past is prologue has never been a truer statement.

Please note: The Chariot pays tribute to its original design, but this modern refresh is not a performance running shoe. As everyday kicks, you may wish to choose a half size smaller than your Brooks running shoes.

I bought these and a pair of New Balance retro sneakers in a similar color (and price) and HANDS down, the Brooks blew the competition in construction, comfort, weight, fit, style and color. I bought these for my twice daily dog walking and trips to/from the gym. They have become my "go to" shoe of choice...often times dressing to compliment the "Mars Red" sneakers I got.

They are light-weight, VERY stylish, and compared to the NB, are sleek and incredibly comfortable. I like that they tongue is not padded and poofy, and the toe box is slightly tapered so that even if you go out on a limb and get something colorful, they won't look like clown shoes. The construction of the shoe is such that you naturally roll forward and despite the lightweight, they absorb impact.

    Totally worth every penny!

I loved the look of these shoes. However, following the advice on the website to order smaller than my normal Brooks running shoes, did not work for me. It resulted in shoes that were too small. I suspect if I had ordered my normal Brooks size, they would have been great.

    Super Cute but TOO SMALL

        Comments about Chariot:

I am returning my pair to order a full size larger. They are very cute and comfy, but with a very small toe box. If customer service told someone that these shoes are true to size, they are dead wrong. I would know because I also just bought a pair of Brooks Transcend, which ARE true to size!

I bought these shoes for style more than function but they have both! They do run a 1/2 size small so glad I read reviews. I always wear a 7.5 in running shoes and bought an 8 and they fit great!

              Comments about Chariot:

I bought these to use as an everyday bum around shoe to run errands so I wouldn't have to wear out my gym shoes. I read the reviews and was prepared to order the half size up due to the short toe box, but then I decided to chat with a Customer Service rep who told me they run absolutely true to size so I got my normal 8. So, needless to say, they are being returned today & I'm having to order the 8.5. Listen to the reviews and save yourself the hassle. I do look forward to wearing these. They were very comfy otherwise.
