After much research and many shoe trials, I have found my perfect shoe and it's the Pure Connect 3. It's lightweight, flexible, has great traction for the rugged ashphalt I run on and has excellent durability to stand up to my 4 miles a day of running with my dog. I love the toe box and the freedom of movement with the unique design of the toe box.
Thank you Brooks and Pure Project Team! You've made a fabulous contribution to the comfort and joy of running!

I had been wearing a different brand of shoes for years and with walking, they were okay. But, I started running and my knee started hurting. I did some research and realized I had a higher arch and needed better arch support. I Googled shoes with a higher arch and found Brooks. Armed with this new informtion, I tried on all of the Brooks shoes at the store and the Pure Connect 2 fit like a glove. I have had no complaints with them. I love everything about the shoe with a perfect fit throughout the entire shoe. They have been absolutely perfect for me. I would not change a thing in the Pure Connect 2's. I tried the Pure Connect 3's at the store the other day and found them too wide in the toe box. I tighten them to fit me better and the seam that runs around the toe box rippled hurting my foot. Now, I would not consider myself to have narrow feet. I did not like the seam that ran throughout the toe box. It rubbed and hurt my foot as I ran in them. Please please keep the Pure Connect 2 around or bring them back if they are gone. They were perfect!!! Why don't you just make a wider version of the Pure Connect 2's for those with wider feet and make them in new colors :) Please!! :)

    Comments about PureConnect 3:

This is my second pair of Brooks, and I now see myself as a customer for life. I love to be active outdoors and recently began trail running. These shoes have been spectacular. Since I am not an extremely experienced runner, my knowledge of shoes may be limited. However, these have everything I could ask for. Lightweight, super comfortable with no "break-in" period, supportive, breathable - and they just feel great. One feature I LOVE is that the tongue is attached near the arch so it doesn't slide outward, which has always been a problem for me. Thank you Brooks! My only complaint is that near the big toe of my right shoe, one of the oval-shapes of the sole has started to detach. I have put quite a few miles on them, but my runner friend says this happened sooner than it should have.

    Comments about PureConnect 3:

The only thing I'm not fond of with this shoe is the gentle uplift in the toes. I want my toes to lie flat in the shoe as I have a bad toe joint and having the uplift irritates the joint. :)

I purchased this shoe after trying it on at a local shoe store. They had a size 8 which felt slightly small, but they did not have an 8.5 so I ordered online. The cushioning in the shoe is so comfortable. The arch support is adequate. I suffer from plantar fasciitis and these shoe are the best athletic shoes I have worn in a long time. I use them for daily wear because running aggravates my condition. I would recommend these shoes.
