Fresh out of charm school, the newest Adrenaline is smoother and smarter than any other. This time we amped up the velvety goodness of the Segmented Crash Pad by adding full ground contact for a crazy nice heel-to-toe transition. Brooks DNA provides adaptable cushioning so your feet will glide through every turn. Heading upstairs, new lacing design evens out lace pressure to create a snug fit, and 3D Fit Print adds a lightweight, flexible, no-stitch fit. With fresh looks and lines, this go-to shoe is ready to fly. The creme de la creme of support, cushion, and balance is the Adrenaline GTS 14.

But don’t take our word for it: Runner’s World Magazine named the Adrenaline GTS 14 "Editor’s Choice" in the Winter Shoe Guide in their December 2013 issue, saying the shoe "boasts all the trappings of a traditional stability model, but rides as smooth as ever.” The editors also praised the GTS’s cushioning, saying it "hits the sweet spot" and is "soft enough for high-mileage training but firm enough to remain stable."

I love these shoes!!! I am an avid runner, I run half and full marathons and I also run cross country for my school. In addition, I attend spin class once a week, and lift weights three to four times a week, and these shoes are perfect for them all! I suffer from severe pronation, that has led to stress fractures, and these shoes help immensely with that! They are the only shoe that I have found that is enough support to help with my pronation, but that does not give me painful blisters! Like I said above, I have suffered from stress fractures due to running, and my doctor said that because of my over pronation, I am prone to get more stress fractures, and as long as I have had these shoes, I have not had any problems!! Fingers crossed! These shoes are also very sturdy, and after 500 miles, the soles still look very good and stable! I am on my 5th or 6th pair of Brooks Adrenaline, and I love them! I wear them with cheap arch supports that I bought at the drug store that I have been using for about 4 years, along with nice, thick running socks, and I am so pleased. Not to get too off topic, but I have found that good, quality, thick running socks are sometimes just as important as good running shoes. I definitely recommend investing in good running socks. Anyways, I absolutely love these shoes, and have no complaints. I run both on trails, road, and treadmills, and they are perfect for all surfaces. These shoes are great for speed workouts and distance runs. My only complaint, is that there are other shoes significantly cuter than these, but I can't really complain because these shoes have kept my running and healthy! As long as Brooks stays the same, or improves, I will always buy Brooks Adrenaline! I am so impressed! Many of my teammates and fellow runners swear by these shoes also!

While I decided to keep this shoe, I have to say that I am sorely disappointed in the changes Brooks has been making. First, the color selection has become more and more gaudy each year. I used to have a pair of silver and white Adrenalines that had dark purple and pink ACCENTS rather than being covered in garish colors that look like a shoe for teens. I also have noticed that the quality is going downhill fast, as the mesh does not feel or look durable and there are no longer holes for the laces. REALLY??? You had to go and put a cheap piece of polyester or nylon tape in place of the lace holes???!! I am seriously considering looking into another brand of running shoes if things do not change here.

      Comments about Adrenaline GTS 14:

I bought the 15's when they came out. I wore them for the Glass Slipper Challenge at Disney in February and they were ok. After reading some of the reviews and so many people preferring the 14's over the 15's, I decided to try them, as I hadn't purchased them before (had purchased 12, 13, 15. I have to agree with the reviewers who prefer the 14's, I do as well. The Adrenaline has been my shoe of choice since the 12's. I plan to stick with them and am looking forward to the 16's debut and hope that they will be more like the 14's and prior years. I decided to wear the 14's instead of the 15's for my half-marathon this weekend and was pleased.

      Comments about Adrenaline GTS 14:

I run 30 miles a week outside and on the treadmill. I ordered this shoe bcz I have the same one in a different color that wore out. I like the fit and cushion but feel the cushion wears down quicker than it should. But if I can get last year's model (this shoe) at a good price, which I did, its still worth it to me. I feel I can put these shoes on and run 10 miles. No break-in needed.

      Comments about Adrenaline GTS 14:

I loved my first pair of Adrenaline GTS 14, so I thought it would be relatively simple to order a new pair online when the old ones wore out. They were even on sale! The pink was awesome, everything was perfect until I put on the left shoe. It felt like the material stitched into the toe had folded before it was sewn in. The result was a small albeit uncomfortable plastic bump above my left pinkie toe. Just large enough to rub my toe when I walk. I was super bummed to realize that they weren't replaceable as they were on clearance to make room for the GTS 15. I had to return them, which was really easy, and take a chance on a different model shoe.

      Comments about Adrenaline GTS 14:

I LOVED the 12 and 13 versions of these shoes so much that I bought multiple pairs at a time. I work on my feet, walk everywhere (since I live in a city), and bike and run frequently, so I need shoes with great support. The 12 and 13 versions met my needs. The 14 version, however, does not. As soon as I put on the 12 or 13 version, my feet felt like they were in heaven! I did not experience this same feeling with the 14 and, while I don't find them to be awful, I don't find them to be the same quality as the previous years. The support isn't as good and they are nowhere near as comfortable as the other shoes.

Also, the more subdued colors of the previous years were much more attractive. I just don't feel a need to draw so much attention to my feet. And they don't go with anything when they're that bright and colorful!

My coworker, who wrote the previous review, and I discussed our disappointment with these shoes. We've also spoken to other diehard Brooks Adrenaline GTS wearers who feel the same. Basically, unless the old versions come back, we're sadly going to have to find other shoes to wear.
