Additional Information

Fresh out of charm school, the newest Adrenaline is smoother and smarter than any other. This time we amped up the velvety goodness of the Segmented Crash Pad by adding full ground contact for a crazy nice heel-to-toe transition. Brooks DNA provides adaptable cushioning so your feet will glide through every turn. Heading upstairs, new lacing design evens out lace pressure to create a snug fit, and 3D Fit Print adds a lightweight, flexible, no-stitch fit. With fresh looks and lines, this go-to shoe is ready to fly. The creme de la creme of support, cushion, and balance is the Adrenaline GTS 14.

But don’t take our word for it: Runner’s World Magazine named the Adrenaline GTS 14 "Editor’s Choice" in the Winter Shoe Guide in their December 2013 issue, saying the shoe "boasts all the trappings of a traditional stability model, but rides as smooth as ever.” The editors also praised the GTS’s cushioning, saying it "hits the sweet spot" and is "soft enough for high-mileage training but firm enough to remain stable."

I love these shoes!!! I am an avid runner, I run half and full marathons and I also run cross country for my school. In addition, I attend spin class once a week, and lift weights three to four times a week, and these shoes are perfect for them all! I suffer from severe pronation, that has led to stress fractures, and these shoes help immensely with that! They are the only shoe that I have found that is enough support to help with my pronation, but that does not give me painful blisters! Like I said above, I have suffered from stress fractures due to running, and my doctor said that because of my over pronation, I am prone to get more stress fractures, and as long as I have had these shoes, I have not had any problems!! Fingers crossed! These shoes are also very sturdy, and after 500 miles, the soles still look very good and stable! I am on my 5th or 6th pair of Brooks Adrenaline, and I love them! I wear them with cheap arch supports that I bought at the drug store that I have been using for about 4 years, along with nice, thick running socks, and I am so pleased. Not to get too off topic, but I have found that good, quality, thick running socks are sometimes just as important as good running shoes. I definitely recommend investing in good running socks. Anyways, I absolutely love these shoes, and have no complaints. I run both on trails, road, and treadmills, and they are perfect for all surfaces. These shoes are great for speed workouts and distance runs. My only complaint, is that there are other shoes significantly cuter than these, but I can't really complain because these shoes have kept my running and healthy! As long as Brooks stays the same, or improves, I will always buy Brooks Adrenaline! I am so impressed! Many of my teammates and fellow runners swear by these shoes also!

While I decided to keep this shoe, I have to say that I am sorely disappointed in the changes Brooks has been making. First, the color selection has become more and more gaudy each year. I used to have a pair of silver and white Adrenalines that had dark purple and pink ACCENTS rather than being covered in garish colors that look like a shoe for teens. I also have noticed that the quality is going downhill fast, as the mesh does not feel or look durable and there are no longer holes for the laces. REALLY??? You had to go and put a cheap piece of polyester or nylon tape in place of the lace holes???!! I am seriously considering looking into another brand of running shoes if things do not change here.

EXCELLENT to have a top quality shoe available in a narrow width. These shoes fit far better than any others. Even with normal socks my feet are stable & don't slide around. Would be great to have more options for narrow-footed folks like me!

I'm not a fan of bright neon colors -- all that's available in this shoe in the narrow width -- but the other features are much more important.

Too much change from GTS 13

I was a beginning couch-to-5k runner in Summer 2013. I have a large painful bunion on my right foot and have had lifelong problems buying comfortable shoes just for walking. My local running store put me in a pair of Adrenaline GTS 13's at the beginning of the 5k program, and it was a match made in heaven. Not only could I run, but I had no pain whatsoever on my bunion/foot. Subsequently, I bought two additional pairs of GTS 13's because they were like miracles on my feet (one for work, and the GTS goretex for hiking).

The work pair wore out after a number of months, so I bought new GTS 14's. I am sorely disappointed! I noticed right off with the 14's that the toe box was much wider (in fact, the whole shoe seems wider). It just didn't fit the same. My bunion pain was back and lasted for a couple weeks before the shoe broke in enough. My bunion still hurts if I walk too much or too far in these shoes after 6 weeks. And as anyone who has experienced bunion pain knows, the pain lingers long, long after the shoes come off.

Another issue I have is the quality of the mesh. It is crinkling up in the stress spots where the shoe bends. I can see holes starting to form on the sides and in the toe area. The 13's had no such problem and I wore them four times longer.

I am now needing new running shoes. I feel like I'm back to the drawing board. I won't be buying another pair of GTS 14's. I'm heartbroken.

I love Brooks shoes and am an avid fan. Only complaint I have is that not everyone wants the bold neon colors that seem to be especially popular the last few seasons. Would love to see one or two color options that aren't either, bright neon (especially all over) or nondescript plain. I know you can do it Brooks, you've had tasteful, middle of the road color selections before.

I have flat feet and mallet toes and these are by far the most comfortable athletic shoes I've ever owned. They provide great stability and don't look clunky at all despite the wider toe box compared with some other running shoes I've tried. The pink color is fun and looks great if you're looking for a bright shoe (though the pink is much brighter in person than it appears online).

I bought the second pair of these because they are definitely one of the best running shoes I have ever own. I can run in it up to 10 miles without feeling painful on my feet.
Only thing I don't like is around the toe area, the material is very thin (I guess they air better), but mine ended up having a big hole on it after half a year (I ran in them about 5 days a week). It would be better if they design an extra piece at the big toe area so that they don't wear out as fast.
