I've been a Brooks lover from the start of my running career but often would find myself wanting to try other brands due to the cooler colors. And I've always come back to Brooks. They are clearly the right shoe for me. I had just purchased a competitors shoe and they KILLED my feet (the balls of my feet), went into my local running store and talked to the guy there. He was so excited to show me the new Ravenna 5's. After trying them on (as well as some others) I was once again back to my trusty old Brooks. Clearly a great shoe. With the 5's, I can feel where you added extra cushion to the mid foot of the shoe. And in the heel. And don't even get me started on the color. You guys hit it out of the park! THANK YOU so much for giving women some cooler colors! I LOVE the blue/orange/green color!!! Thanks again for another great shoe.

      Comments about Ravenna 5:

I've never reviewed anything in my life but I decided to review these shoes. Simply put, they are the best things ever. I am a high school athlete and these shoes lasted me two years and 3 seasons of field hockey, indoor and outdoor track. They are great for running because of the great impact cushioning.

      Comments about Ravenna 5:

Most comfortable Ravennas to date however, they do NOT last. Wore holes through material before 6 months old and my longest distance trained for with this pair is was a 13.1.

        Comments about Ravenna 5:

I bought Ravenna 5 in purple and I love it! As someone who goes with the best shoe regardless of appearance, it is exciting to get the "cuteness factor" to boot! I used to have many foot and lower leg problems, but I haven't had any running related injuries while wearing the Ravenna (3 years). I am a long distance runner and I believe having the right shoe is absolutely necessary for bio-mechanics and injury prevention.

          Comments about Ravenna 5:

I went in to get fitted and have my feet measured at my local running store. After trying on about 10 pairs, testing them on a track, and watching videos of myself on a treadmill, we settled on these. They fit my high arch perfectly and feel amazing during my long runs. I had been an avid Asics runner before these, but I had no idea what I was missing out on! Definitely reccommend these!

            Comments about Ravenna 5:

I have always come back to the Ravenna. Recently tried out the Nike Zoom 17, the Saucony Guide 7, and the Mizuno Wave Inspire 10. All of them went back except the Mizuno Wave, which I kept mainly for walking. The Ravenna is great--this is my third iteration of them. They're great for the wide-footed folks (like me). My only complaint is that, for my first pair of Ravenna 5s, I wore a hole near the place my small toe on my right foot is--after almost 300 miles though. Otherwise, still in good shape, and I'm planning on wearing them until they fall apart. Also, bought a second pair of the Ravenna 5s because they're great.
