I love this shoe! I am in love with the PureProject line, but I wanted something with a little more cushion for those super long marathon training runs. I was surprised at how light this shoe is for how much cushioning is involved. They are also a really smooth and quiet shoe. It just comfortable all around! I love these shoes so much I convinced my husband to get a pair as well.

I run marathons (sub 4) and half marathons (sub 2). I was a huge fan of the Glycerin 10. When the Glycerin 11 came out, I tried it out and it just fell flat. It does not have the same supportive feel of the 10s because the midfoot shank was removed. Unfortunately, in removing this part, they also removed the responsiveness of the shoe and it feels like you are running on dough. This change caused me to buy every last Glycerin 10 on the market and also try out the Mizuno Wave Prophecy 3, which is more similar to the Glycerin 10. Hopefully, they will reintroduce support in the Glycerin 12 model before I swear Brooks off forever.

Comments about Glycerin 11:

These are my first pair of Brooks and I've put about 300 miles on these babies. I really enjoyed wearing these shoes until I discovered that going up the recommended 1/2 a size wasn't the correct size for me and a full size was too large. I discovered this when I tried on Brooks Ghost 7 (super comfortable) in the same size and started comparing my shoe size using Ghost 7 on the shoe size calculator provided on the site which stated Glycerin 11 is slightly smaller. No wonder I always had foot discomfort. I thought it was my feet and kept pushing onward.

The shoes are good for long and short distances, walking, jogging, running, etc. if you're feet fit the specific mold. I like the responsive gel and the colors are intense. I really like the vibrant yellow and pink colors.

I do aerobic exercise and walk often. These shoes give lots of support and are easy to break in. Wish they came in more neutral colors.

Have bought 5 pair of these. Great shoe! Sizing varies some from shoe to shoe. Had to return these because 1/2 size too small. Return process was smooth - refund process a little slow. Waiting for refund to process before ordering another pair.

      Comments about Glycerin 11:

I have never tried Brooks before. I've been a Saucony fan for years but I have not liked the colors of their shoes lately. Some friends of mine at work who run a lot recommended I try Brooks. I went to the Brooks website and followed their "find the perfect fit" option. These shoes were recommended for me (or at least the 12s). I bought the 11s because they were on sale and I loved the blue. They arrived quickly and I opened the box. They were great looking, light weight, and seemed very cushy. I was so excited to retire my Saucony's I was wearing for yard work and use these for my running shoes. I took them out the very first day and went for what I hoped was a 3 mile run but only made it 1 1/2 miles before my toes were completely numb! I thought they just needed the laces loosened so I tried again a few days later. Again, my toes were numb a mile into my run but I finished the 3 miles. As soon as I stop running, feeling returns. I have been forcing myself to run in them for about a month hoping to break them in and get the rid of the numbness. NO LUCK! I put back on my old, beat up Saucony's and ran 3 1/2 miles with no numbness so it must be the shoes. I'm so disappointed. Any one have any ideas on whats causing it? Guess I'll be going back to Saucony.
