Style #120032

The fit and feel of a running shoe in a casual everyday walker? What's not addictive about that? The new Addiction™ Walker now comes with durable, energy-returning MoGo midsole cushioning, a more supple full-grain leather upper, strong support, and reliable slip-resistant outsole. This shoe provides sturdy support mile after mile by supporting low arches and keeping pronation under control.

The Addiction Walker is also available with V-Strap closures -- just like the lace-up version, but with the convenience of hook-and-loop straps to get you out the door in a flash.

I have been wearing the "old style" Addiction Walker for some time now. I need to wear otrhotics in my shoes and over pronate badly. The "old style" was not very well padded and the tongue kept shifting to the side. However, they fit my orthotics well and their shape contours nicely to the shape of your foot. People who wear otrthotics already have a foot problem and many times is accompanied by chronic pain. Cushioning is an issue!! I recently went on a search to find a more cushioned shoe. I found some other brands were much more cushioned for around the same price. Funny thing.....neither one fit like the Brooks Addiction Walker. I needed shoes so I bought another pair of Addictions. It's the only shoe I can wear and I wear them 24/7. To my surprise changes had been made in the "new style!!" I love the cushioning and the new features so please leave this shoe alone now! Please keep in mind people with medical conditions truly need the cushioning. You have no idea what a gift COMFORT is for us.

With the recent style change, the material now used to line the tongue is slick and it slides to the side. I find myself constantly adjusting the tongue back to "center" it. I never had this issue with the old style. I wear these shoes daily to help alleviate a nerve problem in my foot, which requires a very sturdy shoe that does not flex. Aside from the tongue problem, it's a great shoe.

    Comments about Addiction Walker:

I needed a walking shoe with proper support for my daily walks either on a track or outside when summer arrives. This shoe was recommended to me by a person I trust and am truly highly satisfied with my purchase. Best support, like walking on a cloud. I feel supported and in control, not afraid of twisting my ankle or falling. Only have had these for a few weeks, and hope they last a long time!!!!

I have never had to "break" them in to have a good fit. They are perfect from the start. I have had back surgery and I stand on my feet all day. Without these shoes my feet legs and back will hurt. I love MY BROOKS!!!!

        Comments about Addiction Walker:

The Brooks Addiction Walkers were recommended to me years ago for good support, and as my ankle arthritis and pronation have progressed I find that my need for my Brooks sneakers is even greater. I went from wearing them "most of the time" (when not in dress shoes), to all the time when I had arch orthotics made and progressed to ankle braces. Although my shoe and width size have increased with what I have placed in them for correct support, each pair has been great. I do believe they have enabled me to be a fairly active arthritic woman - with lots of hours logged in the garden. I go through 3 to 4 pairs a year - as I said, 24/7, and feel they hold up as well as any shoe I could find on the market. Thank you, Jane Polan
My apologies - just read the statement below.
I wear the walkers all the time - when not in the shower or asleep. They are able to handle and support the mid calf ankle braces I wear. I have a pair in black that I wear for occasions when my white sneakers just won't do - have worn the black sneakers for formal events

          Comments about Addiction Walker:

I have supinated feet and am on my feet for 12+ hours a night on hard flooring. With any other shoe I've ever tried, my feet and lower back are killing me by the end of the shift. The Brooks Addiction Walkers keep the pain and fatigue to a minimum--I will never purchase another style of work shoe!

            Comments about Addiction Walker:

I wear these shoes every day with slacks--for aerobics, shopping, housework, visiting others. My full-length orthotics fit into them well. I have very flat feet and flexible arches. The shoe keeps my foot from sliding forward. The shoe's toe box is large enough to accommodate my hammer toes and full-length orthotics.

The color beige works for all year wear. I wonder if Brooks would consider making a mary jane type shoe for dress wear.
