Additional Information

Fresh out of charm school, the newest Adrenaline is smoother and smarter than any other. This time we amped up the velvety goodness of the Segmented Crash Pad by adding full ground contact for a crazy nice heel-to-toe transition. Brooks DNA provides adaptable cushioning so your feet will glide through every turn. Heading upstairs, new lacing design evens out lace pressure to create a snug fit, and 3D Fit Print adds a lightweight, flexible, no-stitch fit. With fresh looks and lines, this go-to shoe is ready to fly. The creme de la creme of support, cushion, and balance is the Adrenaline GTS 14.

But don’t take our word for it: Runner’s World Magazine named the Adrenaline GTS 14 "Editor’s Choice" in the Winter Shoe Guide in their December 2013 issue, saying the shoe "boasts all the trappings of a traditional stability model, but rides as smooth as ever.” The editors also praised the GTS’s cushioning, saying it "hits the sweet spot" and is "soft enough for high-mileage training but firm enough to remain stable."

I love brooks. I have wide flat feet (11-4e) and Brooks has been the one show that consistently fit. I have had several pairs of Brooks shoes, including older versions of the Adrenaline GTS 11. I was very excited to be getting the new GTS 14, but much to my dismay I found that the outside arch had been brought in and adjusted just enough to be painful.

I went out for a short 4 mile out and back run and ended up turning around after just a mile or so.
The fit in the heel and the toe box was perfect, but the OUTSIDE of the arch was very painful. At first I attributed it to the stiffness of new shoes, but when I found myself hobbling I decided to cut it short. I compared the soles to a pair of my GTS 11s and sure enough it was just a bit skinnier in the painful spot.

I will continue to try out other Brooks products in the hope that I can find a pair that fits properly, as they have been great shoes. I am also extremely sad to find that my favorite line of shoes no longer fits me.

I will continue to recommend that people try Brooks, but not with as must zeal as before.

Comments about Adrenaline GTS 14:

After three uses I developed the worst shin splints I have ever had! Then I call customer service and was hung up on twice. So I emailed and got a unhelpful response. I am very disipointed in the shoes and the customer service I received. I feel like I wasted my money. I guess I will stick with New Balance in the future!

    Comments about Adrenaline GTS 14:

I bought this shoe at the conclusion of a very profitable visit to a local runner's store. The store was equipped with a treadmill, and expert sales personnel who watched me run in the 4-5 leading shoe brands. It came down to Nike, Asics, or Brooks. The others felt either too heavy, or not as cushiony. The ultimate test was running for a few minutes on their treadmill, with one foot in Asics, and the other foot in Brooks. The Brooks were obviously the better shoe for me. As a matter of disclosure, I do need to state that I am a 2E width...and, so I was comparing all the brands in 2E. None of them came close to the comfort of the Brooks Adrenaline, which seemed to effortlessly accommodate my wider feet. Perhaps, if I had the average width foot, the others would have felt just as accommodating ...but, in this wider size, they did not. All that aside, I still feel the Adrenalines felt far lighter and had superior cushioning.

      Comments about Adrenaline GTS 14:

I'm a pretty flat footed guy that works out at least twice a day. My workouts involve lots of running and jumping. These are the first shoes I've had in a long time that don't leave the bottoms of my feet aching at the end of the day.

One issue with Tongue of Shoe

      Pros

      • Good Traction
      • Lightweight
      • Pronation Control

      Cons

      • Uncomfortable Tongue

      Best Uses

        Comments about Adrenaline GTS 14:

First off.. always a fan of Brooks shoes and this pair is no different accept for one flaw.

The upper inside of both tongues on the shoes have a hard spot that puts noticeable pressure on the top of the foot to the point of pain. Not sure if its the way the material is folded up and then sewed in place but that's where the problem is. I had to take scissors and cut these two spots out and now the shoes are great.
