Additional Information

Fresh out of charm school, the newest Adrenaline is smoother and smarter than any other. This time we amped up the velvety goodness of the Segmented Crash Pad by adding full ground contact for a crazy nice heel-to-toe transition. Brooks DNA provides adaptable cushioning so your feet will glide through every turn. Heading upstairs, new lacing design evens out lace pressure to create a snug fit, and 3D Fit Print adds a lightweight, flexible, no-stitch fit. With fresh looks and lines, this go-to shoe is ready to fly. The creme de la creme of support, cushion, and balance is the Adrenaline GTS 14.

But don’t take our word for it: Runner’s World Magazine named the Adrenaline GTS 14 "Editor’s Choice" in the Winter Shoe Guide in their December 2013 issue, saying the shoe "boasts all the trappings of a traditional stability model, but rides as smooth as ever.” The editors also praised the GTS’s cushioning, saying it "hits the sweet spot" and is "soft enough for high-mileage training but firm enough to remain stable."

I love brooks. I have wide flat feet (11-4e) and Brooks has been the one show that consistently fit. I have had several pairs of Brooks shoes, including older versions of the Adrenaline GTS 11. I was very excited to be getting the new GTS 14, but much to my dismay I found that the outside arch had been brought in and adjusted just enough to be painful.

I went out for a short 4 mile out and back run and ended up turning around after just a mile or so.
The fit in the heel and the toe box was perfect, but the OUTSIDE of the arch was very painful. At first I attributed it to the stiffness of new shoes, but when I found myself hobbling I decided to cut it short. I compared the soles to a pair of my GTS 11s and sure enough it was just a bit skinnier in the painful spot.

I will continue to try out other Brooks products in the hope that I can find a pair that fits properly, as they have been great shoes. I am also extremely sad to find that my favorite line of shoes no longer fits me.

I will continue to recommend that people try Brooks, but not with as must zeal as before.

Comments about Adrenaline GTS 14:

I am a multiple marathon runner and half marathon runner. I have enjoyed the great feel of Brooks GTS13, I have tried the new GTS14 and wish they would go back to the 13 design.
The 14's outer side foot support has been reinforced and has a new lacing system which makes for a very tight narrow fit along that section. It makes the toe box and heel section feel big. In the past I have been able to take a GTS13 out of the box and run 8 miles no problem. I am not able to do that with these.
What I do like is the lighter feel to the shoe and the new mesh. I will be on the fence as to what shoe/brand to buy next time I need a new pair.

      Comments about Adrenaline GTS 14:

I began a cross training program to prepare for a 12 day backpacking trip. Since I was not sure about the program I was reluctant to spend the money for an expensive pair of shoes (opting to use an old pair). This was a horrible mistake. after several weeks in the program I had terrible shin splints. At this point I bought the GTS 14. Shin splints faded almost immediately. These shoes are awesome, and I will be getting another pair soon.

Great on the treadmill, better on the road. Very light. I also loved that the show came in plain black and grey. I didn't want a colorful shoe.

This was my first proper running shoe and I'm really happy with it (used for ~1 year, running 1-3 times a week). Extremely comfortable. Will be buying another pair of these for next season.
