Brook's Adrenaline ASR 12 GTX is the trail-bound brother of Brook's Trance 12. I'm a 51 year-old runner who appreciates a little more support that usual in a running shoe. I am very happy w/ the support and performance of Brook's Trance 12. However, I needed a little protection from the weather and better traction for off-roads running. Met the ASR 12 GTX, bought them, and am 200% satisfied. These shoes are the most versatile shoes I have owned. Putting the GoreTex feature aside (which is what I was looking for to keep water out of my feet), these shoes perform like any other great trail show and more. I dont' find them particularly heavier than other trail shoes, they breath well, and have that extra level of support and cushion you need for extra long runs. The perform just as well in the street. I love the black/red colors too. Great job Brooks!

This is my second pair of these gtx shoes. if it wasn't for the glue not holding, causing the separation of the sole from the top part, the first pair would have lasted a long time. there was very little wear on the sole. I only walked at the park on moist or wet grass, never in puddles. let's see how this new pair holds up. i like the light weight and they are very comfortable.

Comments about Adrenaline ASR 10 GTX:

I wear these all the time because they fit me just right (I need pronation control)
I don't like the fact that it's hard to find in stores.
My previous pair (an earlier model) had the upper separate from the sole eventually but until then it was very good.
I like to wear these traveling because they are good all-purpose and I don't want to pack a second pair of shoes.
The thing I like least is they are slippery on a wet surface, and they were a bit stiff when new.

Comments about Adrenaline ASR 10 GTX:

The Adreneline ASR 10's is a great pair of all-terrain running shoes, especially for wet roads and trails through the woods. My feet stayed perfectly dry and comfortable in light drizzle and on the day after heavy rains, but running during the rain left my feet soaked right through. I suppose no running shoe is truly "water proof, " though since water leaks down your legs and rainpants, past your ankles, into the shoe. Don't expect miracles with Brooks' only "water-proof" shoe. I like Brooks for the comfort and suppost, though. I will still use the ASR 10's for the parks and woods and get some Adreniline 15's for the road!

loved the right shoe while the left shoe was killing me with pain after 15 minutes of wear (while sitting at the desk). It took me 2 trials (and 2 returns) to figure out that this was a wrong design of the shoe for me. However this is a great shoe for someone who needs pronation control.

Comments about Adrenaline ASR 10 GTX:

I've bought Adrenalines for several years now, but last year was the first time I got the ASR GTX. My wife found the lime/black ones on 6pm.com when I needed to toss a worn-out pair of Adrenalines. Didn't know about the ASRs, much less the GTX. Although the Gore Tex shoes are a little warmer in summer, it is worth the change to have watertight shoes. I wish there were color options, but I do like the red/black better than the lime/black.

Comments about Adrenaline ASR 10 GTX:

This is my 4th pair of Adrenaline's and I've loved the shoe. Something is wrong with the stitching at the top of the tongue, so when the laces are tied tightly the seams press into the top of my feet. After a few miles it becomes fairly painful. I'm hoping this isn't a long term issue, but I'm currently alternating between this new shoe and my old pair.

I returned these since the toebox was too narrow. . I have the gts 9 to cmpare it to. I plan on getting a new pair of the gts 14 since brooks is great but will try them in before purchasing to ensure sizing. I wish adding goretex to any model was an option. Or perhaps some wider asr options.
