Men's Ghost 6

$110.00 $66.00

Style #110144

The light, bouncy, and balanced ride of the Ghost has haunted the dreams of many competitors -- and it's about to get frighteningly good. We've taken the transition from silky to ridiculously smooth by removing the midfoot shank and creating full ground contact from heel to toe. The underfoot gets even more love with a horseshoe Segmented Crash Pad that wraps the heel from medial to lateral sides and articulates the laydown. What does all that mean? Looking as good as it feels, you'll fall in love with this friendly ghost.

We’re not the only people who have fallen in love: Runner’s World® named the Ghost 6 "Editor’s Choice" in the Fall Shoe Guide in their September 2013 issue… the fourth straight Ghost to earn the honor. They called out the new forefoot overlays welded on rather than stitched, but really loved “how fluidly the shoe rolls from heel-strike to toe-off." In short, the Ghost 6 offers "a sweet balance of weight, cushioning, and everyday durability" – and the editors say "The lightest Ghost we've seen leaves nothing out." Can you say "Four-peat"? Spooky good.

First pair of Ghost 6 after 2 pairs of Ghost 5. Use for work (ER staff) and for jogging 10-15 miles per week on gravel and pavement. Have narrow feet so limited on color choice in B width but color is OK not great. Best feature is the low price now that there is a newer model available. Compared to the Ghost 5 these seem to make my feet sweat more and more smelly. Same socks and same feet but not as dry and comfy as the 5's. The laces are elasticized which I liked at first but now really dislike as it makes it harder to properly adjust the tension on the laces. I like to cinch down the middle part of the shoe and leave it looser near the top. I find myself untying and either loosening or tightening them a few times a day at work. For jogging they are excellent as expected and not a huge change from the Ghost 5. Bottom line: if you liked the Ghost 5 you will probably like these also. Only down side is the laces and ventilation seems not as good. I will probably move on the the Ghost 7 when these wear out to see if they are better in these areas.

The fit and feel of this shoe is good. The problem I have with it is that it's to firm on impact for my liking. I currently run in it and the Saucony Triumph 10. The Triumph has a much softer feel on impact than the Ghost. The Ghost however in most other areas outshines the Triumph. I just wish it had a softer feel on impact. Perhaps that's just a personal preference, but I like my cushioned shoes to feel softer. Wish it was as soft as the Triumph, hands down it be the better shoe.

I run about 20 miles/week. I have tried many brnds of running shoes and have never found a pair I am truly happy with. But these Ghost 6 are the best running shoes I have ever purchased. They are lightweight, comfortable, and very durable.

I've been running in the ghost series for several years but I buy last year's model when the newest style comes out for the savings. I run between 800-1000 miles a year and keep at least 2 pair of ghost shoes in my rotation and they are and have been my favorite shoes.

            Comments about Ghost 6:

I bought these shoes for work as a custodian and walk 5 miles a night on them. They are extremely light, comfortable and cushiony, but by the end of my 8 hour shift, my feet are tired, and I can "feel" the floor under me every step. Maybe because of just how light they are, or not quite enough arch. Have only had them a couple weeks so too soon to tell, how they are going to wear or hold up.

This is a great running shoe! I've been using these for my half marathon training runs and they've been great...very comfortable, good traction, breathable, and good support. My last pair of brooks only lasted for 6 months but I put 20+ miles on them a week. Hopefully these will last a bit longer.

First bought the Ghost 6 GTX for winter use and loved the support, comfort, warmth so much they became my everyday shoe - so bought the regular Ghost 6's as my new go to daily walk/run shoe for the warmer weather and will be alternating between them. I'm light build easy striker and these feel fantastic.

Wanted to try Brooks shoes from a referral from a friend. He had the Beast shoe but I was not ready to drop that kind of money yet. Found the Ghost 6 on sale. That pair lasted almost a year with gym and work. So I went to Brooks website to get the Beast and found the Ghost 6 on sale so I bought two pair. Hopefully I will not need another pair of shoes til 2017. Brooks shoes I'll BE BACK!
