I am forever cold but I took up running last spring and absolutly love it so I didn't want to sit out of all the winter races and spend all of my time on the treadmill. The winter run series came and I registered and was nervous when the temps here on Long Island started dropping to the teens so I knew I needed something to keep warm. I was hesitant at first because I felt [$] was alot for running pants, I don't even spend that on jeans! But let me tell you it was the best [$] I spent on any of my running clothes. There was snow and ice and it was 25 degrees but I loved every second of the race and it has alot to do with the fact that I was not freezing my bum off! These pants paired with my Ghost GTX and I was warn and dry!! Thank you Brooks! The picture is me and my friend after the race BOTH happy in our Brooks Utopia Thermal Pants!!!

These pants seemed very well made, and well designed overall. However, for me they were a little high and snug in the waist for the size (xs). The length was most disappointing ~ no inseam options. Because of the zippered ankles, the inseam must fit well, and these were just too long for a petite person.

Comments about Utopia Thermal Pant:
I wear these pants everywhere! They r so compfy they r a good alternative to warm spandex pants, especially if u take ur pants off after warm up. Since these r not tight spandex all the way down, they can be pulled over ur shoes with little issue . If I have to get groceries or run errands, chances r I have these pants on. And I wear them to practice too. If I could snuggle up n live in these pants, I would. If you have more questions about Brooks geAr, message me on twitter! @fawndorr!

Comments about Utopia Thermal Pant:
I normally wear tights in winter because I don't like my pant legs flopping around my ankles, but these don't. I like that they let a little cold air in too- a little chilly at the beginning of a run, but refreshing later on. Compared to other running tights and pants I have tried, I am very appreciative of the crotch in these, which does not fall down. I am wearing the medium, which is snug on me, but not too tight, and the length is good: I'm 5'9" 40" hips. I only gave these pants 4 stars because I would have expected a wind panel on the quads area to keep the wind from biting there, considering they are meant to be very cold weather pants. Otherwise, really comfy for mid-distance runs (5-10 miles have been good)

Comments about Utopia Thermal Pant:
I received these running pants as a gift this past Christmas and they have been my savior! I just purchased one more online. Previously I purchased 3 pairs of winter running pants and all were either too cold or too heavy and uncomfortable. For the most part, I've just been running with lighter, more comfortable tights on and rain pants on top to keep in the warmth. However, these pants fit perfectly and are very warm. I am about 5'7" and I weigh 140 pounds and the medium is perfect for my size. The ankle zippers are great for venting off some heat when you're overdressed and the back pocket, although it's a tight squeeze, fights my iPhone. A must have for every winter runner! So far they did well in low single digits, teens, and twenty degree weather runs.

Comments about Utopia Thermal Pant:
I've taken these pants out for two runs so far (one when it was in the low 20s, and the other when it was just below freezing). They kept my legs warm and happy! They are so comfortable that I find myself wearing them around the house, too. Although the price gave me pause at first, I think these pants will end up being worth every dollar as I begin training for a half marathon in January. I am 5'5" and about 125 lbs. and went with a small. They are fairly form-fitting, especially in the thighs and rear. Go with a medium if you want a slightly looser fit.

Comments about Utopia Thermal Pant:
I run marathons and half marathons during the winter! I bought 2 pairs of these pants a year ago and gave one to my cousin. One year later and they are still in great condition. These are by far the most durable and comfortable run pants ever. I HATE being cold before and after my races . . these pants definitely keep you warm before and after runs. They are very comfortable and I love the zipper at the ankle, this way I don't feel like my ankles are being squashed. I was surprised at how light they were...expected them to be heavier.

Comments about Utopia Thermal Pant:
Very happy with my purchase, these pants are well worth the price. I am 5'3" 125lbs. Size small fits perfectly. They are a bit long, but they don't drag on the pavement with sneakers. Cozy and warm, I've worn them in 20 degree temps on morning runs and have been very comfortable.

Comments about Utopia Thermal Pant:
I was really hoping I had found the pant that will keep me warm in cold weather, but I am returning the pants that I purchased. I used the sizing chart, but they are too small for me. I am surprised at how thin they are and hope when I buy the next larger size that really are my solution to a cold legs and bottom.
