        Comments about Transcend 2:

About four years ago, I switched from conventional running shoes (my last shoe was the Brooks Adrenaline GTS) to minimalist shoes. Well, it turns out that while some of my other injuries faded away, I developed a new one: posterior tibial tendonitis. My podiatrist told me that if I didn't go back to wearing my orthotics and a more stable shoe, I would continue to exacerbate the problem and simply never get better. So I made my way to the local running store, and told the clerk there that I have always worn Brooks. She brought the Transcend 2 out, and while initially I thought it looked a tad bit orthopedic compared to my flimsy minimalist shoes, it turns out that it is one of the best shoes I have ever worn. My orthotics fit perfectly in them (once I cut off the back end of the insole that comes with the shoe), I have yet to roll an ankle (which I do all the time), and they are lighter than I expected from a conventional running shoe. I admit that I bought another pair of running shoes from another brand to have some variety, but they're terrible compared to these, and I'll be donating them soon. Brooks knows how to make a quality shoe for those of us who need a little something extra to support our unique gait and mechanics. I am buying a second pair, and possibly a third (in case they become discontinued somewhere down the road!). Although they are a bit pricey, they are worth every single penny. Thank you for continuing to make such an amazing shoe!

          Comments about Transcend 2:

About four years ago I switched from a traditional running shoe to a minimal shoe, specifically, the New Balance Minimus. Before that, I was exclusively a Brooks shoe girl. The last pair I bought before switching was the Adrenaline GTS. I recently developed posterior tibial tendonitis, and my podiatrist told me that I needed to start wearing my orthotics again or the tendon will never get better. So, off to the store I went, and after telling the clerk that I used to wear Brooks, she brought out the Transcend 2. While my bank account forgot how much truly good shoes cost, I can honestly say that these shoes are worth every single penny. They are amazingly stable, responsive, and my orthotics fit in them perfectly (I cut off the back half of the insole that comes with the shoe for a better fit). I thought they would be so much heavier compared to my minimalist shoes, but they aren't. I have not once rolled either ankle (which is a huge problem for me) because these shoes are so stable. Thank you, Brooks, for continuing to produce such amazing shoes! And yes, I shall buy more than one pair just in case they discontinue them! After taking out a small loan, of course. :)

            Comments about Transcend 2:

The Transcends 2 feel like runing on a cushioned sole. The uppers aren't even felt. This shoe is so light and yet so cushioned, I won't want to wear any other shoes. They are perfect for long distances.

            Comments about Transcend 2:

A great shoe for work, gym and running. I use this shoe on road, track, and some dirt trails. Its durable, and sturdy. I love it for my long runs, the stability and coushining really help me push through the long miles. My only complaint is that its not very responsive when it come to doing speed work. but if speed work isn't your thing, then this is a great running shoe for you@!
