These are great running shorts. I am a runner with a fuller figure and I was looking for a pair of lightweight shorts with a longer inseam that didn't ride up while running. These do the trick. They stay in place and I don't have to worry about showing too much skin or about the shorts riding up. I also like all of the pockets. My only issue is that the rise is a little lower than I would like, but the shorts stay in place, so it really isn't an issue. I haven't had any issues with chafing so far and I've used these for some longer runs.

I'd been wearing Brooks Epiphany shorts for years. That model was perfect: well constructed--lightweight but durable fabric that breathed and moved easily with my running gait. As important, the Epiphany shorts were the right length. I'm a bigger, older runner. Those shorts' 7" length covered just the right amount of my thighs. I always felt comfortable wearing them, even when taking on tough hills.

The Sherpa shorts appear to be the Epiphany's replacement. Alas: they don't scale those heights.

The fabric's light, breathable, and durable. But don't be fooled by the attractively colored band that appears to be waist high--it falls below the navel, even when you lace the inner tie tightly. The 6" seam is too short for my taste and comfort. Especially compared to the Epiphany model. Alas: I'm returning the two pairs of Sherpas I purchased. Sigh.

I've always turned to Brooks' women's clothing because the styles and cuts are the right proportions for all kinds of women's bodies. The Sherpa signals a new direction, it seems. What a mistaken turn; what a loss.

First Pair of "running shorts" I actually love. Usually they ride up and are not comfortable. These were recommended to me and I am "SOLD" Love them.

I ordered a small based on the size chart, but the shorts feel a size too big. It was not the fit I expected.

          Comments about Sherpa 6" Short:

These are the best shorts I have ever bought. I'm a big fan of your gear in general, but these fit me to a T. I'm 5'8" and 150 with very long legs. What a flattering cut they are. No riding up at all and I run in excess of 30 miles of week.

My only complaint is they don't come in more colors! Can someone PLEASE make me a pair of Navy blue running shorts that are long enough!

            Comments about Sherpa 6" Short:

I purchased these on a day I had to run and forgot my shorts at home, these shorts were the only black women's Brooks shorts left in the store. I was just happy they were in my size, but I was very pleasantly surprised at how wonderful they are. Now my all time favorite running shorts. They are longer than normal, which I love, but you don't notice the length while running. Would buy again and again.

Tried them on, rides up into my crotch immediately just when i was walking from the room to a mirror to look at them. Definitely will NOT work for me on a run. They also look very unflattering/frumpy. Had to return them for a refund.
