Very disappointed--Not comfortable

I was really looking forward to trying out this shoe, but after wearing them for the first time I wish I would have stuck with Brooks Launch. My toes and feet go numb just from wearing them, I would never be able to wear them for running. The toe bed feels too narrow, also the tongue is sharp plastic. It is almost is painful to walk, because the tongue digs into your skin. I hoped over time that the plastic would soften up, but not after 5 wears... still painful. Overall the shoes are very uncomfortable and I would not recommend..
Wishing They Fit

I had the Cadence 1's and 2's so i was really looking forward to the updated version but the toe-box was so small, my feet went numb before I even got to the trail from the ball of my foot being squished. I think i have relatively thin feet so I don't know how... Otherwise, they felt great. Good ground-feel, lightweight, comfortable to wear (if not for the lack of forefoot space). Wish i could have kept them! If you like minimalist shoes and have narrow/thin feet, give them a try!
So disappointed - feet go numb

I've worn every version of Cadences and these are by far the worst. My feet immediately go numb when I try to run. I bought some Pure Flows on sale and am much happier with them. Very disappointed about the changes in this version!

I have Cadence 2, and hadn't updated. So when I got the 5, it's not as supportive as the 2. Can't wear in gym class, and would only wear them for walking or short runs. I still prefer my Cadence 2 style.
I really like the shoe but wish that the tongue string holes

I am so disappointed in these shoes! I have owned Brooks for years now and this is my third pair of Pure Cadence. The tongue is entirely too stiff and will not crease when my ankles move. I have tried creasing them on my own with binder clips for a few days and even that doesn't work. I received these as a Christmas gift and have been wearing them for three months now. I've read a few reviews that say numbness has occurred and I am glad to know I'm not the only one. After wearing for a while, my feet and toes start to tingle and then go numb. Again, such a disappointment, Brooks.
Missing the 3s

Toe box excessively creases on push off. The under side of this crease cuts into the top of the foot. Why did this shoe become so rigid and stiff? I've been wearing this shoe since the 2s and I think I echo what many are thinking . . . Why didn't I stock up on the 2s and/or 3s when I had a chance. Clearly Brooks had it right with these older models. Is it fast fashion that makes Brooks feel they need to make such drastic changes every year? Stop changing a good thing. Perhaps add some new colours for marketing but leave a good thing alone.
Stiff the tongue material no give and caught in ankle return

These are awful. I used to love the Pure Cadence but they can't leave them alone. The changes they have made are horrible. These shoes are way too big even though i ordered the size I normally do in Brooks. They also crease weird at the toe. The tongue is cheaply made and almost plastic like. I imagine it will crumble away with heavy use. The backs are high and cut into my heel. I was really excited about these but realized they are awful. Quit messing with a good thing, and please never make that tongue again. I am returning these for sure.
