    Not a Good Update

    2017/02/19 | Canton, Ohio |

I have been purchasing Pure Cadence for a few models now. I loved the 4 but they wore out and I had to upgrade to the 5. I'm not happy with them. My left foot goes numb every time I wear them and I always order a half size up when I get running shoes. Very disappointed that I spent so much money on shoes that are uncomfortable and that I dislike wearing. I hope the 6 has better updates and is more like the 4.

    A Bit More Cushioning!

    2017/02/19 | Florida |

I have run in Pure Cadence since version 2 & was looking for a shoe with a bit more cushioning. I ended up buying a pair of Adrenalines, but they were too stiff & bulky after wearing the Cadence for so long... my local running store recommended these & I like them a lot, although the don't seem to hug my foot as much as the previous versions...the cushioning in the heel is just right!

    Yes, I would recommend this!

    Worst Brooks I've Ever Owned

    2017/02/18 | Longmont, CO |

I've been wearing Brooks for the last 8 years and I am so disappointed in these shoes. I first became a fan of the Pure Connect line until it was discontinued and then switched to the Pure Cadence. This was my third pair I've purchased and I have no idea what you guys did to this shoe! First, I have narrow feet & always buy a half size bigger and these shoes are incredibly tight in the toe box. At first I thought they just needed to be broken in, but after running in them for 30 days and my toes going numb, I knew I was mistaken. Second, the bottom of the tongue cuts into the top of the foot. Thirdly, these shoes seem cheaply made. I've just mailed these shoes back and am running in my old Pure Cadence which after 700+ miles are more comfortable than running in these shoes. I'm now considering purchasing a different brand.

    Great Shoes

    2017/02/17 | Chicago, Il |

As all my other brooks, i really liked them. theyre comfortable, light weight, and have good cushioning. The only downfall i noticed was the heel cushioning. I've never had to break in my brooks and these felt like it took too long to break in the heel...other than that they're great shoes!

    Excellent shoes

    2017/01/31 | Niceville, FL |

After reading the negative reviews on this shoe, I went to my local running store to try these shoes out instead of ordering online. I love the Pure Cadence 4's and was pleased to find that these were just as comfortable. I have wide feet and had to adjust the laces to make the shoes feel better on longer runs. I did end up ordering a 2nd pair half a size larger than my normal shoe size that are more comfortable. The cushioning is perfect, especially on my long runs. I had no problems with the tongue cutting my feet as some others did. Bottom line, try these out for yourself.

Still good, but the 4 was better.

    2017/01/28 | Bethesda, MD |

I started wearing the Pure Cadence last year, with the 4 model. They're great for my shorter runs or speed work, then I use the Transcend for long runs. I over pronate pretty strongly and these work well for a lighter shoe with some stability control. The only thing I don't like about the 5 is that the tongue is really awkward. It constantly moves around and I have a blister on one of my toes because the tongue is sharp on the end. I'm on my third pair of this year's model, and the first was fine. Not sure what happened with the last two. Hopefully they can fix this with the next model!

    Runs Small

    2017/01/22 | Illinois |

I have worn Pure Cadence for years and ordered my normal size. When they arrived, they felt tight but I decided to try them anyway. After 10 minutes on the treadmill, my toes were tingling. I have sent them back and ordered 1/2 size larger. Hopefully, they will fit better.

    Not the same shoe

    2017/01/02 | Baton Rouge, LA |

I have had the Cadence since model 2 and have loved them up until this shoe. Straight out of the box I noticed the heel cushioning was a little stiff and the toe box was a bit too wide and bulky compared to previous models. I kept wearing them thinking the heel cushion would break in and the forefoot would become less stiff. They never did. The forefoot creases instead of bends causing pain and the heel support had made me start running with a heel strike instead of my normal forefoot strike. I switched to Cadence way back when since they were the only shoe to not give me shin splints, and these now do. I tried shaving off the sides of the toes box trying to get rid of the bulkiness, I got rid of about 5mm of rubber, which helped but still not the same. I ended up buying another pair of 4's for my long runs for marathon training and have relegated these to short runs under 6 miles.

    Dislike the new styling

    2016/12/28 | Michigan |

I have owned several pairs of each generation of PureCadence and found them to be an ideal running shoe. However, generation 5 is like a different shoe entirely and I will certainly not recommend it or purchase it again. The sole is flatter on the inside and not as contoured on the exterior making running and walking less comfortable. I would not recommend purchasing this one online unless you know exactly what you're getting.
